A 5 Start Village, as it is famously known as. The place is 14km away from jaipur and the nightlife is pretty awesome

Chokhi Dhani in Rajasthani means, a beautiful little village and it truely brings you that experience. The resort is a vast complex and created on the themes of a village. Each room is made like a hut. Made of eco friendly material like mud and decorated in an absolutely ethnic manner.
The resort is a few Kms away from jaipur and sight seeing etc maybe a bit difficult unless you hire a private transport. However it is ideal for a full day and full night stay to truely experience Rajasthan!
Unique Quality: Every evening the resort has a Haat/ mela happening. This is open to those who do not stay as well at the price of INR 350 entry fee per person inclusive of a lavish 10 course dinner! This is a must visit for every tourist coming to jaipur.
Spread over 10 acres of beautifully landscaped area for a rustic look, it is dotted with machaans & platforms where different folk artists perform concurrently. A village fair is created every evening as an ongoing celebration of the rich & vibrant cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
The display of traditional huts and workmanship will take you back to the times when splendor was unpretentious. Experience the rich warmth and rustic charm of a typical Rajasthani Village at Chokhi Dhani- the festivities never end here !!!
Live dance and music performance all through the evenings is one of the major attractions at Chokhi Dhani Village. The exposure that the local folk artistes have received has revived many of the arts and crafts that were getting all but forgotten in these modern times. Few visitors can resist the temptation to join the artistes and dance with the music.
The magic show, the puppet show, acrobatics on a bamboo without the protection of a safety net beneath, the astrologer, the fortune teller parrot all made the visitors spellbound.
The artificial forest with roar sounds of animals and tribes, boating, horse riding, camel riding, elephant riding and much more are here to rejuvenate you and your family.
The Chokhi Dhani Village also has a photo studio with traditional look, a national art and craft market, a museum and many more places showing rajasthani village culture , villagers' lifestyle with a dining hall, renowned for the mouth watering and typical Rajasthani food. A place where you will enjoy to come and forget to leave... where you will get rid off your worries and you will drown with Rajasthani art, culture and respect for the guest.

Our stay in chokhi dhani in feb 09 was overall satisfactory. Not actual 5 star service, but one can campare it with 4 star level. A true replica of rajasthani rustic environment. Room was spacious & neat & clean. Food was good. The only negative point was greedy staff, who force you to pay them tip for any service like cleaning up the room or other room service..

Chokhi Dhani Resort literally meaning the "Fine Hamlet" is a 5 star Ethenic resort, the only one of its kind in the country. With quaint mud & thatch dwellings set in sprawling acreage of land, it has 65 cottages, 8 Haveli Suits, 2 Conferences Halls, Chaupal, Chandi Mahal Bar and Bindola Multi-cuisine restaurant.
The spacious huts, away from the hubbub of urban life offer you unmatched serenity with every modern amenity & comfort while you bask in the splendour of rich Rajasthani culture. Warm hospitality in line with the Rajasthani tradition of "Padharo Mhare Des" transports you to the era of Thakurs, the village lords.
One can just go there for dinner as well. No need to stay overnight. I must say it is a lot of fun. Lots of natives singing and dancing, fire eating, colourful bangles for sale, pottery, camel rides, bullock cart rides, boat ride.
The food is good, but very spicy. I couldn't eat much of it, though my husband enjoyed it.
Unique Quality: great ethnic setting. great for a night out in Jaipur.

Choki Dhani is an ethnic resort where you can see, feel, hear and eat Rajasthani.
A nice place to visit, dance and eat traditional Rajasthani food.
If you don't mind sheeling out then stay in the resort, else visit one GALA eveing.

Off to India shortly and we're staying in Jaipur for about 3 days.
I've read about a Camel safari tour but can't find much info about it..anyone know about this?
Hi, I live at Jaipur itself and for Camel Safari the nearest location would be Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. At Jaipur there is not much activity in terms of Camels as they can only travel in deserts. Yes you can have Camel rides at famous ethnic restaurants such as Chokhi Dhani and Aapno Rajasthan. For Safari you have to visit either Jodhpur or Jaisalmer
