First impression was this city look one hundred times much better than Agra, the city we came from five hours ago by 'Luxury Bus' 150Rs. I don't want to mention Agra here, I try to tell what I like about Jaipur in the city's beauty, touristy and cheap delicious foods etc, simply one hundred or one thousand times better than Agra. The city centre area which Hawa Mahal stands was painted one unified color of brown-orange, makes it look like a big construction in Pink. Entrance of Hawa Mahal 5Rs only but 750Rs for Agra's Taj......more tips coming

Elephant festival has its own charm and is celebrated every year in March on the occasion of Holi, the festival of colors. The festival has a unique concept of its own kind. The colorful festival of Holi is celebrated throughout India, but the festival gets some more spice added to it, when it combines with the Elephant festival of Jaipur, Rajasthan. take a "tuktuk or auto rickshaw"
by PCuk
The easiest way to get round Jaipur is by flagging down (and you wont escape their noise!) a tuktuk or autorickshaw.
This is a must do experience.Agree a price,if you can(although the fares are minimal) and get in.You will need to hold on tight as they race thru the traffic and be ready to take in the fumes that surround (as you are on the same level as the cars)you...but enjoy.
If youre lucky, like us youll get a non english speaking driver and friend who will not understand, not know where your hotel is and drive the wrong way round a roundabout..grreatt!!
Jantar Mantar - surreal sculptures?
by j-san
no! It's the largest of the five astronomical observatories built by Jai Sing almost 300yrs ago. (One, which I only had a glimpse of, is in Delhi. ) They are not only striking in appearance, but for their incredible accuracy. There are dials for telling the time to the last second and my favorite are the individual zodiac dials... here there is also the impressive 30meter high sundial. What I loved most about this place however was the atmosphere... the combination of wide open space, sculpture like constructions, the sky the sun and the wind...
natural tourist spot in Jaipur!
by otikim
One famous natural spot in Jaipur is the Sambhar salt lake. Sambhar is famous for the country's largest inland salt lake and is 94 kilometers to the west of Jaipur. It is also known for the famous and holy Devayani tank, the palace and Naliasar which is pretty close by. It is one the things you should see when you go to Jaipur and it is near a historic palace which people would also want to see.
