A nice place, but not the first choise!
by schlumpf about Athithi Guest House
Another nice place to stay is called Athithi Guesthouse, quiet closed to the center of the Old city.
It is the normal Guesthouse but with very cleaned rooms with A/C.
Here you will find also a lot of organized groups,. So that’s probably why I didn’t enjoy so much my stay here and I left the morning after!
The only one thing worng is that the staff isn’t so nice and helpfull.
It costs quiet a lot to being a GH, as a doubel runs beetween 500/700Rs.
So, if you have a choise, this should not be your first one, better the Jaipur Inn, no doubt!
Great value for money

This was actually the second time I'd stayed at the Jaipur Inn, the first being Christmas 2005. On both occasions, I was very happy with the hotel. The rooms are big and clean and the service is great. On both occasions, I was traveling with 20-somethings and either parents or grandparents and, both times, everyone was pleased with the Jaipur Inn. Fantastic value.
Great experience

We stayed at jaipur inn for 2 nights, it was a great little find. The owner was very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. During our stay we tried the rooftop buffet which had nice views and the food was good as well. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Oasis in Jaipur

We stayed here one night - chose it randomly from Lonely Planet list of hotels. Having been ripped off/scammed in Delhi and Agra on more than one occasion, this was the first place where I felt relaxed and at ease. I think the double room was about 1500 rupees - very good, clean, spacious and en-suite bathroom was fine. There was a garden area to sit in and a rooftop restaurant with flowers in pots and lovely views. Owner had been running Jaipur Inn since the 1930's and now his son runs it - they were both friendly, open and happy to give information if we asked, but not bombard you with advice/recommendations. Rooftop was lovely in the evening with cold beer and buffet meal was good. Atmosphere very laid back and easy. Would certainly go back to this place if we return to India and very happy to recommend it.
Manager Pushpendra makes it a home away from home.

Jaipur Inn is a place which makes one feel at home.
With it's close proximity to MI Road it's a good bet.
The Rooms are spacious and the staff friendly, the most interesting part being they don't accept tips
Food is reasonably priced but needs to upgrade it's variety and food quality. One sad thing they don't provide Room Service.
The Manager Pushpendra is a well informed gentleman and is very resourceful, He makes the place click.
Pointers for new prospective guest would include:
1) Ask if your going to experience Power cuts(Load Shedding)between 11am-1pm, there are no backup generators, these power cuts are taken for granted and one has to live with it as the manager humbly says.
2)The hotel is also undergoing renovation so power cuts are inevitable at least for another 3-4 months.
3)If one has made part payment through the site then make sure the rest of the amount is taken along in hard cash since there is no provision for a swiping machine, you may end up paying in indian rupees which might cost a little more due to the conversion rate.
Besides a few things mentioned above we did have a good stay and will definitely go back and recommend this hotel to a budget traveler

They call them Guest Houses in India, and I've stayed in loads. You get exactly what you pay for, but in Jaipur I stayed in a place called the 'Jaipur Inn' which I found most comfortable...

Hi
Stayed at Jas Vilas in Jaipur(close to a bed and breakfast type accomodation due to the size and personal attention.
jas vilas is situated a little away from the hustle and bustle but is still on an easy route to the sights.
Had a wonderful time - highly recommended.
