Unique Quality: Its a gorgeous property, right in the heart of Jaipur and yet because of it sheer size is a very peaceful place to stay. Public transport is easy to locate and its right next to McDonald + Inox Cinema and right next to one of the large shopping Malls (Crystal palms) of jaipur.
The service is not that great (Because its a lil slow) by Asian standards. However if I compare to what they call service in Europe- This has great service! The maharaja and the maharani suites are exquisite and ther is also a room right in the corner- close to where the cars are parked- That also is liek a mini suite- its amazing!
I guess it's fading from former glories now, but, nevertheless still an option if staying in Jaipur. Rooms appear to be of varying sizes and standards, it's a heritage hotel this should be expected. There are huge grounds to explore, a pool and plenty of comfortable places to relax.
Staff are friendly enough, a little over attentive at times we thought. One of our party became ill while we were there and the hotel performed well, treatment was arranged and further accomodation provided with no fuss, a recommendable point.
The railway station is very close by, trains announce their presence at all hours of the night, sleep can be a little difficult nless you like the sound of trains.
