Hand-printed sheets and embroidered
by j-san
Near the Samode Palace, a boy from the Palace's art shop, took me to a seller of sheets in the nearby Samode village. There I was able to buy beautiful cotton and silk hand-printed sheets, as well as a lavish looking deep deep blue bed cover with gold embroidery - it literally shimmers in the lamp light. It was also about half the price of the Jaipur emporiums. For al these sheets and bed covers as well as craftwork, I paid about 50dollars US.

This was the first time that we lost ourselves inside the hotel, with the feelings of being in a featured monument. All the space is absolutely fantastic, and, if it is open only for the guests, it's a good reason to stay at least one night there.
