The City Palace is a huge place that you could easily, but happily, get lost in. Tons to see...and some stunning architecture! The Buildings are a mix of Rajastani & Moghul architecture...lots of styles mixed up!

Jaipur's City Gates

by MM212

The old city of Jaipur continues to preserve the original 18th century walls built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. These walls are pierced by seven fortress-like gates, through which the major thoroughfares run. They are mostly decorated with Indian-style floral motifs and contain an image of a deity above the main archway. Attached are photos of the following gates: Ajmeri Gate, New Gate, Zorawar Singh Gate and Sanganeri Gate.

Amber Fort

by cancian

Set in a picturesque location, is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture.
Built in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh.
Built in red sandstone and white marble, the palace complex has some very interesting apartments.
Enjoy an Elephant ride.
