More about Hotel Pleasant Haveli

'Service' to remember

by TripAdvisor Member Ash_Chak

I stayed at the haveli for 2 days and one night with my fiance and another couple as we travelled through Rajasthan.

The hotel rooms at the haveli were clean and the owner has clearly put in a lot of effort in the place. However, the one aspect that clearly differentiates this place from many similar hotels and B&Bs I have stayed at across the world is the service. Both Narendra and Dilip are extremely helpful and truly made our trip most enjoyable.

Their local knowledge and assistance to help us with local guides, transport and evening trips was very useful.

A word of advice would be to ensure you pay a security deposit in case you are intending to check in late in the evening to ensure the rooms reserved are still available on your arrival. This is largely driven due to a lerge number of no shows that owners have to put up with.

Overall, I have no doubt I would return to this haveli if I were to visit Jaisalmer and would strongly recommend this to others visiting as well.

the best rooms ever

by TripAdvisor Member tsepel

The trip to rajasthan has been the best ever.Arriving in jaisalmer we were taken to our hotel......Pleasant haveli......it is centrally located and walking distance to the town and also has a breaktaking view of the fort. The suite rooms are the best ever, very comfortable, and has an open sapce veranda...which can be a very nice place to hang out after dinner.
Overall it is the best accomodation one will find in jaisalmer.

Pleasant is pleasant!

by TripAdvisor Member BritonAbroadBeijing

Our stay at the Pleasant Haveli was one worthy of the hotel's name. We had a beautiful room and the owners, Naren and Dilip were really keen to please not only by ensuring our stay was happy but also asking our advice on how to make sure that the next stage of the hotel's development would represent an improvement on the already great design and attention to detail.

As this is a relatively new business (evidenced by the lack of any listing in the major guidebooks - LP take note) there is no restaurant at present, but that didn't prevent them providing eggs and toast for breakfast and great chai on demand. Free use of the internet was a nice touch. All in all somewhere worthy of the statement "No request is a request too far".

Loved the personal touch

by TripAdvisor Member HPTravel09

It was our first time in Jaisalmer and I was looking forward to an 'easy to live' place which has all facilities , yet is not a normal hotel where you are another room number . Narendra Singh and Dilip at Pleasant haveli provided just the right personal touch without intruding on our privacy . It was like staying at a friend's place where we got simple personal advice and real help on everything like booking the desert camp trip , best food places , local trivia , planning our trips around the city and to Jodhpur . There are only about 5 to 7 rooms . But the rooms are well decorated and have all the good things you may need without the typical hotel room feel. [ if you are staying in hotel rooms for 40-45 days in a year, you will know what i mean ] . Since it is a new place and being managed by a family , they still need to build few amenities like a good restuarant and a better sitdown place on the terrace [ where you get a good view of the fort] . But to give credit to the guys , we got everything we asked on the room service including hot parathas for breakfast and warm milk for our child whenever we wanted . Overall , a good small cosy place to hole in for few days and immerse yourself in the old world charm , small town talk and warm rajasthan hospitality .

Romantic Oasis

by TripAdvisor Member djelias

Pleasant Haveli was the most enjoyable hotel during our stay through Rajasthan.

Although the hotel is relatively new, the rooms have character and charm. The staff is anxious to please its guests.

We spent New Year's eve in Jaisalmer but were just as happy to return to our romantic oasis.

Pleasant Stay.

by TripAdvisor Member h99039

Pleasant Haveli was a lovely stay.
The staff was ready to please at every turn. After being in India for 2 weeks, it was nice to have so many modern pleasantries.
Although on a quiet street, staff were able to find us autoricks as needed, and the fort was within walking distance (15-20 minutes).
Over all the room was beautifully decorated and clean. I also enjoyed the washroom, hot showers and lots of space!

Clean and safe

by TripAdvisor Member alvrito

This is not my first time in Jaisalmer and for sure it will not be the last one!...
The hotel was great, clean and even though it was not inside the fort, its location was convenient
Rooms were clean and comfortable
But the best was the friendliness of the staff
And another good thing is the free internet in the hotel!...

Best Place in Jaisalmer

by TripAdvisor Member setb

What a great place. Great rooms--very clean, hot water, comfortable beds, satellite TV, clean sheets, good bathrooms, beautiful stone walls--with great, friendly, helpful staff (and some of the best chai we had in India). and a perfect location at Gandhi Chowk.

This was one of the top places we stayed in India and I couldn't recommend it more. It really is an oasis.

Highly recommended: very cosy, quiet location, superior fittings, courteous management and very close to Ghandi Chowk, which is the place to stay in Jaisalmer
