We had 3 really good days at this hotel. The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable, and everything was fresh and clean. The staff were friendly, and the service good. Although the rooms are fairly basic, we found that they were very adequate for our needs. The bathroom was a good size, with the cutest little bath-tub I have ever seen.
There was no lack of hot water or electricity, a problem that occurs in many hotels in India.
Our room had a perfect view of Meherangarh Fort.
The proximity to the Fort is a big plus. Its about a 15 minute walk (steep nearer the fort)
I loved the antique wooden bed that we had in our room-beautifully carved woodwork. The tiled marble floors were always shining and clean. Restuarant on rooftop had a wonderful view of the Fort, and the food was very well presented, and tasty.We ate most of our meals here.
And of course, the cute little bath-tub. There also was a shower.All in all, this is a really nice hotel-small, but well run, friendly and tastefully furnished. A very congenial guesthouse that you can find in the "blue city" of Jodhpur is the "Saji Sanwari" Guesthouse.
It has a nice location in the old town, close to the impressive rock faces where the fort sits atop.
The house offers different rooms, all of them pretty big and charmful.
The owner, a widow with 2 children, told us that due the fact, that she is not paying commisions to rishka drivers, they are often not willing to take travellers to her guesthouse. So don`t believe if anybody tells you that the hotel is closed, destroyed by fire or whatever else...!
If you want, you can eat with the family on the rooftop, with nice views to the fort and ower the old town. The only place to stay in Rohet, a village outside Jodhpur, is at the Maharaja's home. The small palace is surrounded by walls, and inside there are beautiful gardens and a swimming pool. The rooms are well kept and appointed with family heirloom art, and each opens to the garden. The Maharajah himself is available for tours. We didn't take his tour, but we did have a chance to converse with him for awhile after dinner. The only problem we found it that a larger tour group could come and take all the better rooms. We were lucky in that we arrived prior to the arrival of a group, and so had the pick of rooms. Dinner is excellent, and after dinner, Rajasthani musicians entertain even the smallest audience. This place was an excellent value.
What is unique about this place is the whole package of village, Maharajah, and the variety of traditional ceremonies in which one can engage. I could go on and on about the Haveli Guesthouse though. . .fantastic views of the Jodhpur Fort (which nearly brought me to tears the first morning I was there), good food, great staff, and an awesome manager who is full of advice and who runs great trips out into the surrounding countryside. I can't recommend it highly enough.

We spent only one night in this family run guesthouse. The rooms are nice, really clean and comfortable and simply gorgeous homemade food is served in the garden. Hotel has the highest roof top restaurant in the old city from where you can see amazing views of the fort and Blue City.
We had very nice time in the hotel and mostly becouse of the man called Chanwar Singh. He has the best sence of humor in whole India!

The Cozy Guesthouse is a family business in an old blue house right in the old town. The family is very friendly and helpful. They offer good food and from the rooftop terrace you can enjoy an magnificent view over the migty Meherangarh Fort.
Doubles with a tv (for the Worldcup;-) are around 200Rs. Theme: Hostel
