Indian Marriage in Kumbalgarh

An Indian told me the two most important moments in te life of an Indian are the marriage and the funeral. We were lucky to be in rajasthan during a marriage season which depends on the gods and the constellation of the stars. But wherever we went during our time, there were celebrations going on. Also here in Udaipur and like shown on this pic, in the countryside of Kumbalgarh.
Ranakpur Jain Temples

If you have time, definitely fit in a day trip to the Jain temple complex at Ranakpur, about two hours by car from Udaipur. The trip alone is very interesting and picturesque, and the temples themselves are absolutely spectacular. See the travelogue for more photos.
How to Reach Udaipur

Udaipur is well connected by road to major cities in India. Brilliant road network ensure people to enjoy a relaxed journey to and from Udaipur. This mode of commuting is quite easy and economical. Udaipur Bus Stand has regular bus services, connecting Udaipur with nearby cities including Delhi, Jaipur, Chittorgarh, Indore, Kota, Ajmer, Ahmedabad and Mt. Abu. Rajasthan Roadways provides the facility of Deluxe Buses and AC coaches for the convenience of passengers. One can also hire taxis and cars to reach Udaipur by road.
City Palace

This is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan with 11 separate palaces. It is 300 years old and has a lot of narrow passageways but the arrows make it fairly easy to navigate. It is a good look into the history of the city and region.

CITYJUNGLE - that fits perfectly to every city in India.
India is a ZOO!!!! On a five minutes walk through a typical Indian town, you will meet 10 wild dogs, 2 wildboars relaxing in the open sewer, 3 cows and one waterbuffalo crossing your way (you WILL step into their holy sh*t at least once!!!), one monkey jumping on your head.....a camel if closer to the desert, a couple of bats when there is sunset.....and at least one ELEPHANT!
And thats all in the city with traffic and so on.....a cow is holy - and it is aware of that, meaning they just take a nap in the MIDDLE of the street, and cars have to see how to get by - hitting a cow with your car would give you really bad Karma!
Ok, it was about the city-elephant-taxi:
In stead of getting smashed in the city traffic, you can take an elephant and smash the city traffic ;-) We tried this possibility, too, like shown in the pics below.
