Very grand and new
A very nice hotel. In the early hours of the morning, there is chanting on the lake. Very beautiful to hear. I wish I had taped it. Also very beautiful to see the sunrise reflecting on the lake. The night's are very peaceful as well.

not what we were anticipating!
In November we took a group tour to Rajasthan booked with Indus Travels of Canada, their local operator Hi Tours. The advance information suggested we would stay at Lake Pichola Hotel. But as happened in other cities we were put up somewhere lesser - bait and switch? This hotel was nicely located but that was its best feature. The bathroom flooded when the shower was used; there was not bottled water for drinking; the restaurant was not good. I would not give a good recommendation for this hotel. As we paid for the hotel with our tour I don't know how its rates compare with other hotels but I would guess the tour operator did very well.
