Great budget accommodation
The street leading to this is so narrow that the taxis have to leave you off two blocks away. Its close to the City Palace and goes right up to the lake--in fact, I had water right outside my window and loved watching the sun set with the window open. It is family run--you'll see the family dog and the kids playing cricket in the courtyard---and the service is first rate. The food at the restaurant, which is on the roof, is also very good. The rooms are very comfortable, though a bit cold at night, and the building is 200 years old. And all for about $30-35 per night.
