Sikkim, which was regarded as one of the last Himalayan 'Shangri-las,' because of its remoteness and spectacular mountain terrain, was a very nice change-of-pace to Kolkata. Its capital, Gangtok, is situated between the borders of Nepal and Bhutan - and if you didn't KNOW that you were in India, you really wouldn't believe it. The general make-up of the place seems to be Nepalese...
