A LOOM ON DISPLAY IT REALLY WORKS.
Will be arriving in mid January 2009 but it will bee 11pm when my flights land and was wondering if anyone knows of any 24 hour check in hotels that are not to pricey. Also, what is the safest way to get from the airp[ort at that time of night, cheers.
The safest way to go to any destination from the airport would be to take a prepaid taxi which you would get at the airport.
The trident hotel which is very near the airport in an area called Pazhavanthangal has a 24 hour check in,but is pricey.
Ambica Empire,Best Western is about 9 kms from the station and is cheaper.

There is a hotel called "Palm Grove" on Kodambakkam High road nearer to American consulate that is not pricy.The location is very central and there are many restaurants near by. However this hotels doesn't offer non vegitarian food.
The hotel offers 24hrs cehck-in facility.
If you inform your budget then more hotel suggestions can be given.
To reach the down town or this hotel, take a prepaid taxi that is available all the 24hrs at Chennai airport.Suggest you choose privately operated taxis that have better fleet of cars and inform your destination.You will be charges as per fixed tariff. Never worry as Chennai is safe.
