More about Radisson Chennai Hotel
COOL IN SUN

Had a wonderful stay for 2 days at the Radisson Chennai enroute to Singapore from Dubai. Located close to the aiport, it is an ideal place for relaxation for travellers. The rooms are OK though with little old furnitures and slightly dull wash rooms. Room service was OK but not upto the mark. Restaurant facility was excellent. Pricewise, compared to other hotels nearby, it seemed little expensive, but got to pay for the increased bit of service level they maintain.
Great for the airport but too far out of town
by TripAdvisor Member mrfalafel
This is a very good business hotel for those needing to work at MEPZ or who may be just changing flights. The hotel offers complimentary airport transfers and is just minutes from the airport.
Lovely lobby, lots of security around. Extremely friendly service. I was offered a free foot massage and given coupons for two free drinks at the bar at check in. Very nice! The room was very comfortable, flat screen TV with a zillion channels, with a few English languages ones as well. A scary looking massage chair/lounger took up a good portion of the floor space. But it was very comfortable.
The free wifi is worth the price you pay as its incredibly slow. Don't plan on working from your room much.
The bar is interesting. Great service and a big sound system but with a kind of stuffy english polo club theme. So if you like to pretend you're posh while Ludacris is bumping on the stereo this is the bar for you.
I only ate at the main cafe with its 36 page menu(!) catering to every cuisine imaginable but it was fine.
Yes, the airport is right nearby and you can hear the flights ever so slightly thanks to the soundproofing.
Again, the main sights and attractions of Chennai are far away from this hotel. I was happy to stay here because I was changing flights at unsociable hours but I wouldn't stay here for an extended stay despite how friendly and nice the hotel is.
The best in town

Traveling in India can be quit hectic. If you end up in Radisson by the end of the day, you made the right choice of hotel. Spotless hotel with utmost friendly staff. For some reason I got an upgrade and enjoyed one of the best rooms ever. And that means something considering around 100 hotel stays anually.
Watch out if you go for lunch or dinner. The food is so tasty, that it is hard to get back to work.
Good for India
by TripAdvisor Member expdabest
I have been told hotels in India are also expensive and not worth their price. The Radisson doesn't compare to hotels in other China or Thailand, but it was good for India, or I assume so. The food was nothing special. The staff is kind, but they all seemed far too eager to receive a tip. The hardwood floor rooms could definitely be improved, but the beds were comfortable and the internet was fast enough. I will probably search for something better next trip.

One of my fav restaurant in Chennai
by TripAdvisor Member sgmkjsekar
I have to put one of m business colleague from US at the hotel and I decided Radisson because of the proximity to the airport. I joined my colleague for an evening dinner. I was pleased with the reception and the kindness the staff showed me at the entrance. We decided to have the dinner buffet. It's a bit expensive (about 700 rs per head + tax) but it's worth a money once in a while. The amount of varieties both in Veg and Non Veg are awesome. Though I dont take non veg, my colleague really relished the typical indian curry. Not so hot, not so bland. I would certainly recommend this hotel for the food for any foreign tourists
Be there to believe

Just like any other Radisson property, this one also has all the basic amenities you will expect. The rooms are good and airy, room service is decent. Lethargy in the air is visible with staff and thats surprising. Food is decent, but no match to local food available in Chennai if you love south indian food. Make your trips short to this place as money does not justify the facilities. Overall an average experience
Well priced, and convenient
by TripAdvisor Member SushmaMumbai
We booked the hotel directly, on a trip to Chennai with family, after calling a couple of different 5 star hotels for quotes, Its located close to the airport, and can be a bit far for someone who has work in the city
The hotel itself feels like a relatively newly constructed property. There is a lot of rich brown teack pannelling in the rooms and the bathroom feels luxurious. Overall its a good experience although rooms are average sized. The buffet spread in the cofee shop is very good, especially the South Indian food,
We paid about Rs 5500 per room (about USD 120), this was in Jan 2008 when overall hotel rooms in india were on the higher side.
Staff is reasonably helpful. The concierge service is very good if you need information on places to visit in and around the city. For the price, strongly recommended
