Fisherman`s Cove: Not only for Fishermen

By the Bay of Bengal, dirctly at the seashore a former Dutch fortress has been turned into a beautiful beach resort, also belonging to the Taj-chain of hotels.
Although in need for some refurbishment (at least as far as the standard rooms are concerned), the hotel offer nice seaview-rooms and nearly 100 sea-cottages, spread over a lush tropical park on the shore.
2 restaurants, a coffeeshop and 2 bars offer continental, indian and asian food.
Service is not always as expected, probably due to the fact, that Fishermans Cove is less used by tourists and crowded by Chennai`s weekenders.

A unique beach open-air restaurant gives you southern-sea-feeling, although one has rather long to wait for ones orders.
