Had a very warm experience at Highland Holiday Homes and I enjoyed my stay of 4 days there. The rooms are good and well maintained. There is a balcony with very nice view. Water filters are inside the room. Hot water was available throughout the day. Most of shopping areas are within a walk able range of one kilometer. Also the lake is hardly close Facilitiesdistance from the highland holiday homes. I haven't seen any hotel better than this in Kodai. Was pretty happy and satisfied with my stay there.

Kodaikanal - View from Coker's Walk
i m planning to visit kodaikanal during sept 7th and 8th. any of u can suggest me whether it is best time if yes how can i enjoy there
Well buddy you plan & go ahead...the best time to visit Kodaikanal is from April to June and from September to October.
You can do pleasent stroll over Coaker's Walk, which derives the name from Lt.
Coaker, who prepared the map of Kodai and it is about a kilometre from the lake, which runs along a steep slope on the southern side of the Kodai. Some of the best views of the plains can be seen from here.
Silver Cascade waterfall this is located on the Ghat Road about 8 kms far from Kodaikanal. The overflow of Kodai Lake comes down here as 180 feet high falls.
Boating and Angling facilities are available at the Kodaikanal Lake. Picturesque trek routes are available in and around Kodaikanal.

sept time is the best time i wud say.. u can see greenary and water flowing from between the rocks everywhere in and around the place. and the tourist crowd will be less alowing u to have a pleasant stay.

I have been to kodai last year in the month of july. We were lucky that we never got rain on our way or during our stay there.We stayed there for 2 days.The places i Loved the most were the 'pine forest' and the 'Dolphin's Nose'.I really enjoyed shopping and cycling around the kodai lake.
Well September is one of the best time to vist kodai.Go ahead and enjoy your stay over there.An advanced happy journey/stay from me!

Kodaikanal is such a great place to take it easy from the rigors of traveling in India! The weather is cool and the people are quite friendly. I loved the hustle bustle of India but sometimes I did need a break from it. Kodaikanal seemed quite a bit different.
