These are some photos of my room at Holiday Inn Agra. Very nice and comfortable room, considering we just arrived from Kashmir where the conditions are more rugged. So this is something like "back to the modern world" for both me and my wife. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
The Holiday Inn Agra is a nice and comfortable hotel to stay in while at Agra. Good rooms, nice service, delicious food at the restaurant and standard is good due to the Holiday Inn international name.
My wife and I stayed here during new year's eve of 2007 and there was a party at the lobby. The whole hotel was full of festive mood and it was a very nice feeling to celebrate our new year in Agra :)

I had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Holiday Inn Agra on 24 April 2007 after my 5 day stay at Jay Pee Hotel in Agra.
Holiday Inn one of the worst experiences to have. Right at the time of Check-in ,the keys were handed over to my group of 10 people with not even a single stewart accounmping to help open the room doors and instruct on electrical fitting in the hotel.
None of the group members could open the door with the key even after swiping key many time and only a help was seeked after 5 minutes of Frustration. It continued as, the televison at my Room no. 506 was not working due to Electrical malfunction. Amazingly hotel had no clue before they checked-in the guest.
The Whole team sat for light drinks & Dinner at around 10 : 00 in the evening at room no. 509 and the Hotel room service stewarts kept on moving in and out of the room for supplies till 2 :00 in the night .
As the dinner ended, the room service/Housekeeping was called up to clean the room. It was only in the morning that we realised that the a wallet with around 8000 INR was missing of the table that was being used to serve & stock the room supplies. It could safely be stolen because as the team disassembled, the room was vacant for some duration as the cleaning was in process.
The Hotel staff never cooperated, from Manager to GM , nobody took the onus and refused to act.
Morover the person at the billing desk could not print the Guest names rightly and i only had to give up at last. The Stay was memorable in true sense of the word - it certainly would be hard to forget this undue loss and discomfort on travel.
Unique Quality: - Thefts
- Untrained Staff
- Non cooperative staff
- Unsafe
Directions: Don''t go there
