Not a First Choice
This hotel is located in a noisier area outside the center of town, and the front rooms overlook a busy intersection. The room was fine (we had a two-room suite), but kind of run down; the lobby looked good; the restaurant was spartan, but clean. Desk service was not quick. I don’t think the advertised .5km to the Taj Mahal is correct, but we had a car, so I didn’t try to walk it.
We made the mistake of not booking a place in advance, and since it was off-season it shouldn’t have been a problem. It turned out, though, that there was a huge convention in Agra that weekend. In the end, I think we paid more than we should have (our room cost only slightly less than the much nicer the Sheraton Mughal Hotel would have been), but it served its purpose. I can’t strongly recommend either staying here or avoiding here, although if I go back to Agra I’ll be looking for other options.
Skip breakfast – it’s not included, and it wasn’t particularly good.
