Clean & Calm in the Middle of Chaos

This was a really nice 5 star in Varanasi. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was really nice and clean, bed was very comfortable! Tea/coffee maker, minibar, internet, fruit & cookies, newspaper, flat screen, all the usual amenties were there.

Complimentary buffet breakfast was plentiful and very good, as was dinner. Enjoyed drinks and snacks in The R Lounge off the lobby.

Staff were very helpful. Front Desk can arrange for driver to Sarnath, ghats, etc. or head out front for a rickshaw.

Hotel is smoke free. There are small shops and eateries within walking distance. Mid-way between the Main Ghats are Sarnath (less than 4 miles to each). Less than 2 miles from bus/railway station.

While many people choose to stay on the ghats, I was extremely happy to come back to this oasis each night!!

Comfortable and All You Need

The rooms have air-conditioning, in-roof safe, TV. and VCR, fridge and telephone are wheelchair accessible. I was very happy with the room – comfortable with all necessary amenities. Check out time is 12.00noon and check in time is 1.00pm.

Radisson Hotel Varanasi

The hotel is made up of around 6 floors and includes 3 suites. Room service is available 24 hours and there is a restaurant in the hotel where breakfast is also served as part of your accommodation. There is actually an indoor and outdoor swimming pool but I didn’t get to see them and a health club available. On the ground floor are shops including a tailor which I wasn’t impressed with the quality of their work (and didn’t accept) and a gift shop. You can purchase stamps at reception but you will probably be better off getting them from the gift shop who will have the correct stamps and not more expensive ones than are actually needed.

Best 5 star hotel in town

This is one of the newest five star hotels in Varanasi and is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the congested streets of Varanasi. The service and food were excellent as was the service that went along with it.
The rooms themselves are luxurious with great beds, TV, and a marble washroom. You will be extremely hardpressed to find any flaws in there rooms.
The best part was the incredible deal we received for our room. It was only $48 per night.
I would highly reccommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a 5 star hotel.

Unique Quality: The one thing you will not get at this hotel are great views from your room. You generally look out at other buildings.

prices are around 20-30 dollars a night. The Clarks Bundela Hotel (Kajuraho) and the Best Western Kashika Hotel (Varanasi) are rather expensive All hotels have a swimmingpool, except for the Delhi Clarks International hotel. But at this hotel you can change your money and have dinner and breakfast on the roof, where you can see the whole city.
All hotels have a laundryservice, roomservice and a restaurant.

Hostel or Backpaker in Varanasi?

I'll be on Monday in Varanasi and I am looking for Hostel or Backpaker do you know any place to stay for two days?

by the way, any tips about Varanasi to see in two days we are thinking to go Sarnath and Bodh Gaya how can i get this place? maybe we stay one day in Bodh Gaya

actually it is depend on your budget but in my suggestion you should to mail Mr. somit, he is such a nice guy live in varanasi and he is Yoga , ayurveda teacher and he runs a school for the poor , street and slum children of varanasi before 3 month before when i was there and i have gotton information about him by lonely planet thron tree forum ... and after that i write him becaus i stayed there very expensive hotel one day i paid 2500 Rs. and i did not know it ... he said me that i should to save money and i should to help children ... first time i was in varanasi only 1 day so that time i stayed in his place without pay anything ...so you can send him mail ... he checked his mail everyday ... his e.mail address is saraswati.yets@gmail.com

The back-Packer hostels and budget hotels are mostly situated around the Dasaswamedh Ghat , which is the main ghat at Varanasi. I would have a look around after arrival. There are plenty of places.

Shanti Guest House is at Manikarmika Ghat (R200-400)

Sarnath & Bodh Gaya are not far from Varanasi. They can be visited in a few hours.

If you want to be near one of the burning Ghats checkout the Hotel Summony, it's sits behind Harishchanda Ghat but it has a rooftop resturant and you can watch what is going by the river.

It's a cheap basic hotel but popular with backpackers.

what to see in 2 days - do a boat trip around sunset time and just wonder up and down the ghats and walk around the old city, you will find it fasinating.

Sarnath will make an afternoon/morning trip.

Bodhgaya is well worth a visit for 1 night stay. to get there take the train trians to Gaya and from there take an Auto-rickshaw to Bodhgaya about 30 minutes away. Plenty of tourist in Bodhgaya so finding accommodation won't be a problem and it will cheaper than in Varanasi.
