Good Clean Accommodation
There are many hotels at Darjeeling of your choice but all of them were running in loss as there were not much tourists from the 1980s till recent days. Darjeeling was always disturbed for long long time. We visited in December'2000 during that time tourists were present to a great extent. Now after the peace accord in August 2011, the tourists have started coming back again not in great number. Hopefully, during festival in October it will be full of tourists again.
We had booked Seven Seventeen for us as it was with in our budget then. The room had running hot and cold water. We visited in December/ January, when the day temperature was around 4/ 5 degrees Celsius. We were advised to keep the auto geyser on. We never had any problem. The food was good and we tried many restaurants there.
Unique Quality: The Hotel has clean rooms and lobby. Service was always with a smile. The location was near Lal Bazar. As far as I could recall, we paid Rs.1200/- for a double room.
