Miscellaneous Tips, Fraserganj, India - Reviews and Hotel Information

Fraserganj and Bakkhalli has many hotels and lodges but this time we wanted to stay away from the crowd so we had booked State Govt Fisheries Guest house in advance from Kolkata. This place is at Henry's Island and about 6kms away from Bakkhali Sea beach. The the quality of accomodation in not upto the mark as in all govt run hotels, but our stay was more or less comfortable. Set amidst natural and artificial water bodies and State Fisheries breeding centre, you are surrounded by forest, water, birds, small animals, insects, very few people, if you are non complaining type your stay is very comfortable. You enjoy the Sunderban forest and Sea at the same time.

We enjoyed.

It also has some wooden rooms but they are comfortable only in winter.
