Silver sand resort: Never stay at Silver sand resort daman
This has been most pathetic resort I have stayed in even after paying such high cost. Feel cheated as what is mentioned in the website and explained by mumbai booking office does not really exsist.
They claim to have all the facilities that a resort offers and in a way they are correct as they do exist but in a very bed, unmaintained situation.
Indoor game room, has pool table whose cloth is torned, table tennis which is broken, carrom which is just unplayable.
They have kids play area, which has the smallest version of one slide and one sea saw. Thats it.
Swimming pool water is not changed for months, so when you step in, be careful of not slipping and injuring yourself.
Outdoor play area is so small that if somebody is already occupying then you have to wait for your turn.
We did not dare to check sauna and steam, which they offer free after seeing the condition.
We were 5friends, so booked a super delux room, which we were told is completely AC and has a living room and a bed room. So we thought it will be sufficient for 5. The first sight was itself so terrible that we immediately thought of cancelling the booking. At the staircase leading to the room, they had cloths drying of other travellers. The room has an AC which is only sufficient to cool the bed room and there is no ac in living room which has Sofa. When we asked for extra bedding they refused saying two of us have to sleep on the sofa which wasnt possible looking at the heat. So 5 of us cramped up in the small bed room the first night. Next day we had to fight with the manager to get the extra bedding. The staff was very rude and manager was equally errogant.
We had paid all in advance, so we had no choice but to stay in the resort as Mumbai office outrightly rejected to cancel our booking or even give a better room. So at the end I feel cheated and would worn other fellow travellers not to visit this resort at all.
