I was enrolled in a university and i was living with my friends home for free accomodation and food..my problem is quite far..fron R.K.Puram to North Delhi university. I plan to hire a car service to send to from my home to central secretariat(metro station) everyday.Just to drop and pick me up.Do uknow some auto ricksaw or car services which can do for me in resonable price deal?
Well the main issue is how far is your home to central secretariat(metro station)?? Recently Auto Rickshaw price is increased and they carry a chart showing the distance and payable fare. You have to find Auto Rickshaw's working near to your residence. Speaking Hindi you can easily make a deal for a whole month on an agreed price. But Auto Rickshaw Wala's are not very reliable and may not show up every day. Car service would be more reliable but more expensive!! The following is contact detail of a taxi service in your area:

When travelling to another country its much better to have the contact detail of the embassy/consulate of your native country with you, even have it handy in case you need to contact them for any reason!! Hopefully you wouldn't need it and will leave India with good memories :-) Here is a contact detail of some of them in New Delhi, the information was accurate at the time of posting!!

A rucksak is good, but make sure it's comfy to carry. Don't take lots of clothes! It is easy and cheap to buy clothes. A good pair of old walking shoes and a pair of open shoes does help. As I didn't pack many clothes and my bag seemed really empty...I filled it up with a few rolls of toilet paper. Not only is it put to good use (Delhi belly), but it's gradually used up and by the end of the trip you have a whole lot of extra space in your bag for presents and things you've bought along the way.
Take a small first aid kit, but there are pharmacies where most things can be purchased (except for tampons if you're a lady...take some of those!) Films are easy to buy...make sure though that they haven't been in a shop window in the sun all day, and also check the expiry date.
Located on the narrow Hailey Lane on the Atul Grove Road, cutting across the Kasturba Gandhi Road, in the center of modern Delhi,This baori (step well) is a small structure built of rubble and dressed stone. Step wells of this kind were once the lifeline of settlements. They not only provided water but also served as points and centers of community activity, places where people gathered to cool off and socialize. The well has five levels where each level has an arched area, which was used as a resting place. The center of the well has water and the water is linked to a well dug in a covered platform. Today, it stands quietly and ignored amidst the corporate buildings of Connaught Place. If you look over the highest wall of the baori, you will see a surrounding ring of imposing high rises. It's quite a view.Ugrasen ki Baori is a fine example of Delhi's unique architecture.
We travelled with a guide who was not familiar with delhi and even though we asked for directions to get around, there are so many circles each having more than 4 routes coming out of it that we couldn't tell which left to take or which right!! Thus rather use transport where the driver is living in delhi.

A: "I would not recommend to stay in Old Delhi. It's very noisy and not very clean, also not many hotels to choose from. You can get to Chandni Chowk easily on the Metro..."
