City Park

We stayed here last Oct.-Nov. and overall its a good value for the price. We chose this place for its location to my relatives there and in that matter it was fine. The free breakfast buffet is good, the rooms were clean and the service was fine. A big and pleasant surprise was their restaurant the Yellow Mirchi. We have had Indian food all over the world or at least where we have been in the world which includes India, London, the many restaurants in Chicago where we live and others as well throughout the US where we have traveled. The YM is easily in the top two, if now #1. Excellent food and at a very reasonable cost. Nice decor too.

Unique Quality: Don't expect a location near malls, etc. There isn't much around there but as a base to see Delhi its fine.

This hotel is located in Karol Bagh. It took 40 minutes from the international airport to the hotel by car at night (when there was not that much traffic).

If you write them an e-mail to get information, check all the information they give you thoroughly. In my opinion, they give incomplete information to affect your attention.

They not mentioned in their replies that the rates are the excl. rates (i.e. rates without taxes) . And they didn't tell me that they have no rooms with two beds, even though I asked about that explicitly. When I arrived there, I had to take the suit room because they had otherwise only rooms with double beds.

The same with the price of the Agra tour ... they didn't mention that this price is for a tour with bus and not with a car. As I arrived there I had no choice but to agree to their offer, because I worked my plans out based on that information.

- Airport Pickup = 450 Rs

- Rates for a double room is 1100 Rs per day exclusive taxes
for a suite room (one double bed + one single bed) = 1600 Rs per day exclusive taxes (1995 Rs incl. taxes)

- Day Trip to Agra by bus = 550 Rs per person
by car = more than 6000 Rs per car
(Ask them for a good English speaking driver)

All the prices I mention here are the prices I have paid. You should check the prices for yourself as they may change.

Unique Quality: - Reliable airport pick-up (the driver waited for us for more than 3 hours).
- They have a travel desk in-house. You can plan your trips with the manager right there. They arranged our drivers and so on.
- Friendly staff.
- Clean.

Unique Quality: After a trekking in the Himalayas i guess that I could sleep anywhere but this hotel was siply great. Full of small details like flowers and a leave saying good night every night, I slept like an angel!
Agust in Delhi is very hot but The Park was like an oasis in the desert!
