Yes, it is New Delhi Railway station that you need, If you are intending purchasing your ticket form the tourist booking office here then Be Aware of the Major scam that is going on, it is mentioned in Lonely Planet, But even with that knowledge I still had some difficulties in getting passed these scammers !!
I have written up my experiences in detail on my India page, you Might find it interesting reading ;-)
Good Luck

Bhopal shatabdi is the best train start from New Delhi at 6.15 and reach at Agra at 8.12. This is also the best train and most fast too for going to Khajuraho as it reach to Jhansi at 10.45am only. From Jhansi there is by road journey for Khajuraho.
Best wishes

Travel Tips for Delhi

To Walk or Not to Walk

by keeweechic

Tractors were even vying for road space along with motorcyclists, cars, trucks not to mention pedestrians avoiding the crumbling and broken footpath and taking to the road instead. Several cycle and auto rickshaw drivers pulled up to see if I wanted their services. One driver told me he would take me to the main attractions for 20 rupees but I wanted to walk and explore on foot. He pointed out a large temple further up the road to look at, allowed me to take his photo and off he went.

Cows

by SirRichard

Cows are sacred here in India, so believers are not allowed to bother them, not even to touch them I guess.
You could find many white cows like these in the middle of the streets in Old Delhi, cars had to move around them or just take a different way if they wanted to pass...

a rare view point

by jag_hond

i think a trip to the Jama masjid is a must for anyone who visits delhi. whether one's interested in history, architecture, or just some peace and quiet. but more importantly, one thing people often miss out on is the minaret in jama masjid.

if u visit at a time which is NOT the prayer time, for a small fee, one is allowed to climb into and up one of the minarets of jama masjid. there's something wonderful about that place. there's a constant breeze and gives a rare view of that part of delhi, particularly the complete layout of chandni chowk.

I love everything about that minaret - the smell, the feeling, the sight..

but beware - sometimes the guys in charge create a problem. first time i went, i was allowed with a friend to go up (and so were 5 other people) with my bag on my shoulder. next time they wanted me to go alone and without my bag... my guess is there's no rel rule -they just make it up depending on what i dont know! nevertheless, its worth a try for sure!

Computers and accessories

by husain about Nehru Place

From branded computers to pirated software, dvds, every computer part and accessory that you could possibly need, Nehru place is where you need to head.
Its a busy market, closed on sundays. Parking is a little tight, though there is a new approach being opened up. Its largely a grey market trading area, but you can often get stuff with a bill and guarantee as well. Compare prices between the shops. Very often, what you are looking for, is will be available at several shops, at varying prices.

Cycle rickshaws

by Willettsworld

Cycle rickshaws are basically a three-wheeled bicycle with a seat for two passengers behind the driver. They are cheaper than auto-rickshaws but when I took my first ride on one, I felt pretty guilty and started thinking back to how it used to be in colonial days with British masters and their Indian slaves but these guys are everywhere and they need our money in order to make a living. I saw many drivers lie on them asleep overnight so they have a tough life so bear this in mind when paying them.
