    Formerly known as the Grand Hyatt, The Grand set amidst 10 acres of landscaped gardens and fountains is in the vicinity of posh South Delhi and in close proximity to the new commercial centre of Gurgaon.

    The hotel has a beauty parlour, barber shop, health club, swimming pool, billiards room, safe deposit boxes, a tennis court and sauna.Hotel have extraordinary amenities which include bathrobe and slippers, safety deposit box, telephones with voicemail, mini bar, dataport for Internet, hair dryers, color televisions and work desk with lamps.

    We stayed one night in the Intercontinental New Delhi. We had a club floor room and booked it on ichotels' website. It was 160Euros incl. breakfast. Quite expensive, but Delhi is expensive and we wanted to have a clean and comfortable place after our flight from Finland.

    Check in went easy, though the staff said our transportation from/to the airport was included in the price and they did not tell this to us before, so we had to make a crazy ride with one of the regular el cheapo taxis.

    Room is very nice. Modern, clean and all amenities there.

    We only had one cockroach visiting us.

    One downside is that even we were at one of the highest floors, you can hear the trains leaving and entering Delhi's trainstation. They horn everytime and that makes so much noise, you can even hear it with earplugs.

    Breakfast buffet is very good. Though you have to order safe water. There are so many dishes to choose from.

    This former Hyatt hotel is my preferred choice of lodging in Delhi when travelling on business. It may not be Hyatt anymore, but I haven't noticed any difference. It offers anything that a four-star hotel will offier. The 6th floor is the Club Level but you're better off eating at the Ground Level buffet (much more choice and comfort).

    Not much in terms of shops - some art galleries (which also sell) and tiny bookshop. Overpriced, as well, so you better go to the nearby malls. Couldn't find any good postcards, there either.

    Very convenient for offices in the Gurgaon area.

    The restaurants: I like all three - the Indian, European (a mix of French and Italian cuisines) and the Japanese. First-rate food & very decent service.
