Hi

You might find what you are looking for here > http://indiabuses.blogspot.com/

Whilst I was in Delhi, they removed the Volvo delux bus for the Delhi > to> Manali route.

Better check with a proper tour operator so you know what the accurate situation is.

Safe travels

There is also a Shatabdi train from Delhi to Dehradun which would be faster. Check details on www.indianrail.gov.in

Air Deccan also operates flights in season. airdeccan.net

Tomb and mosque of Isa Khan

by alycat

The tomb and mosque of Isa Khan is located to the south of the Bu Halima garden. An inscription on a red sandstone slab indicated that the tomb was built during the reign of Islam Shah, son of Sher Shah, in 1547-48 A.D.

This complex of Ali Isa Khan Niazi, the noble in the court of Sher Shah (the man who overthrew Humayun). His tomb enclosure contains not only his tomb, but a three bay wide red sandstone mosque.

Levitation Trick

by grets

Looking down on the market place below from the Red Fort, we could watch the levitation trick take place.

A young man laid down on a board on the ground and was covered with a cloth. His head was constantly visible through a hole in the cloth.

The cloth would appear to be rising from the ground, as if the entire board he was lying on was levitating above the ground. His body was quite obviously in the reclinging position from the angle of his head.

Trick? Undoubtedly, but still very clever.

Something that maybe is less...

by Deborah_Bagg

Something that maybe is less than spectacular to most, but made a deep impression on me, is the place where Ghandi was cremated. It is surrounded by short walls in the city, but once inside it is perfectly silent. A holy and peaceful place.

Delhi Metro

by illumina

We could see the Delhi Metro being built/extended while we were there - the works were causing havoc with the traffic!! If the Calcutta Metro is anything to go by, it will be a fantastic way to get around, and very cheap too. I look forward to using it when I go back!
