Considering the Hotel Westend Inn in Delhi?

Delhi in a nutshell by call_me_rhia
"Delhi, where an empire rose and fell before the dawn of history; where citadels of emperors appeared and disappeared; a city of mysterious eternity whose old ruins proclaim a majestic and imperial past and whose present pulsates vibrantly with the ever flowing life of India. There have been at least seven cities around modern Delhi, and the old saying that whoever founds a new city at Delhi will lose it has come true every time." This quote comes from the history section (which I condensed) of www.delhitourism.comMy stay in Delhi has been very brief, a couple of days indeed - too brief to penetrate the soul of this huge cosmopolitan city. And then again I've stayed long enough to notice some things: first of all Delhi is not as bad as people make it sound: there is dirt, true - but it's not an open-air dump: there's still a lot of green everywhere. ABout the crowds: they are not as scary as I thought - in particular I noticed the low number of beggars, which by the way were not insistent at all. In comparison: you can see many more beggars (and more annoying ones) in MIlan. Traffic and pollution are not from hell, Bangkok is very much worse.. Delhi is quite beareble in this respect. All in all, Delhi turned out to be a nice surprise.
