Bargaining is a must
You can get a very good price if you how to bargain and also knowing the quality of the materials itself (which most of us dont).
You its better that you do your shopping accompanied by the locals (your friend) Sari, silk, etc.

We're trying to book with Club Elevate in Noida. Not sure if we will get tickets but worth a try.
There are likely major parties at all the five star hotels - non-guests can probably get in by paying a premium.
Hi
I know Ponty Chaddah who is one of the partners of Clb elevate. PM me i will send you his managers number who can book you people. i have never taken a pass or bothered to take one because of him.
Cheers

Karan, just sent you a PM on Club Elevate's partner contact info. Would be just happyto be on a guest list if there is one. We are probably going to check out the club a week before New Years as well. Good DJ lineup it seems.

This little restaurant is tucked away on a side street, but Delhi-ites and visitors in the know come here for the mutton. The meat is available in a variety of sweet or savory gravies. Other delicious meals include the lamb stuffed with chicken, rice, eggs and fruit, and the fresh, hot curries. No matter what you order, be sure to get some homemade bread on the side. The Biriyani is also specially recommnended By my Bala Uncle. The last time I actually visited this restaurant was in 1995 , but my Lovely cousin Ashwini and her husband Atul treated us to Karims dinner at home and nothing will make me change my opinion of Karims.simply the best!
If you are a train fan, or traveling with kids, visit the Rail Transport museum. Do it in the early morning hours and not when the sun is at its peak - its mostly out of doors.
See the princely train saloons from a bygone era. Some cute toy train engines as well.
This 42metre high stone arch is Indias war memorial. It is carved with the names of 85,000 men of the Indian regiments who died in WW1.
Surrounded by gardens it makes for a peaceful stroll particularly on a sunday afternoon.
There are a few Ice Cream and drinks vendors in the vicinity
Chandni Chowk is a street that has existed since the times of the Mughal empire. It is the nerve centre of all commercial activity in Old Delhi. This wide street facing the Lal Quila (Red Fort), stretches from the Digamber Jain Temple at one end to the Fatehpuri Mosque at the other.
It is easy to get lost in the maze of tiny lanes and streets that surround Chandni Chowk. These tiny streets are a hub of frantic commercial activity during business hours. Business is still carried out in the old ways here, some of the streets are too narrow for any kind of vehicle to get in. You can still find loads of material being carried on carts, wheelbarrows and cycle rickshaws.
Every street has a story to tell and every lane offers an interesting mix of old and new - from wholesellers of Fabric, Books, Electronics Components, Spices, Dry Fruits and Medicines to regular shops offering Clothes, Electronics, Traditional Delicacies and Sweets.
Chandni Chowk can be quite an intimidating experience for a first timer. The sheer over crowding, pollution, congestion, smell and noise, can all be a serious assault on your senses. A visit to the chowk can be anything - from a truly fascinating experience to the most frustrating one :)
