Any RnB or Hindi clubs in Delhi?

by Dee_P

I was wondering whether anyone knows of any good clubs to go in Delhi which play predominently RnB or maybe Hindi?

Re: Any RnB or Hindi clubs in Delhi?

by Odinnthor

Well there used to be a serious hot spot in Delhi called Climax, with R&B and house music. I think it closed in 2007, but the owner was going to reopen it in another location. Sorry, I can't be of more help.......

You might want to check out 'Love Hotel".

For more personalised information you might want to write to one of Delhi's top DJ - , You can refer my name(Agnelo) to Rafsy, he should be able to give you some inputs.

Or go to Gurgoan.... Lovely obession or Last chance at the sahara mall.

Thanks Deepesh.

I've checked some of those places out online. It seems the music is very varied. But i guess its hard to find music of one type in Delhi.

Pick up a copy of Time Out Delhi. It will have all the nightclub info including type of music, etc. Will also have listings of any venues having live music - might find your RnB that way. Also check events section of the weekend paper. Enjoy!

Travel Tips for New Delhi

The Best Travel Websites for India

by joidevivre

I have despaired of finding well produced and useful websites that offer travel information on India. Over the years I have developed an intense dislike for websites put up by backpacking know-it-alls who think they are oh-so-superior to other "tourists" and yet offer the most patronising, denigrating, and inaccurate travelogues about India. Generalising about the country to make sense of it is fine, however, these "gems" should not be offered up as the definitive account of the "real" India.

Anyway, these two websites though, developed in India by Indian media companies are fairly interesting and accurate accounts of travelling in India, albeit from an insider's perspective. I don't know how useful they would be to a non-Indian, but they are worth a try. Now here's the exception to the rule. There is one website that I liked immensely, that was put up by folks who seemed to be backpacking their way through the country. It is written with a certain sense of empathy that I admire and I think their accounts are all tinged by genuine love of the place.

After Dark Delhi takes on a new look

by 1Karan about Elevate

The latest and largest nightclub to make an entry into the Delhi night scene. Has a capacity of almost 2000 and is spread across four levels. Not to be missed is the unique morning buffet breakfast after a night of partying. On till the early morning hours and open only on weekends.

Vegetarian Food at the Temple

by DaDrifter about Govindas

Govindas is a good place to try some authentic Indian vegetarian food. This restaurant is located within the Iskcon temple complex in South Delhi and serves only buffet-style meals. The choice of vegetables, curries, salad, breads and desert is excellent.

Red Fort

by FruitLover

The Mughal citadel of power carved in red sandstone dominates the cityscape on the way to Old Delhi. It houses the public audience hall (Diwan-e-Aam), the private hall (Diwan-e-Khas), the queens' palace (Rang Mahal) with the royal baths (Hamams), and the Pearl Mosque (Moti Masjid).

Chandini Chowk- Shopping is an Adventure Here

by Preetibandooni

Amidst the bustling city life whenever I get time I like to pursue my favorite hobby of shopping all by myself. Shopping at Chandini Chowk was like going on an adventure tour for me. At Chandini Chowk the ancient Meena Bazaar provided me innumerable opportunities to enjoy shopping for some of the most exquisite zari work (golden thread work) clothes and amazing artificial jewelry. If you know the tact you can bargain here for your favorite articles to great extents. The best thing about this place is that it has most sprawling range of prices thus starting from very marginal prices up to some of the most expensive ones it is a complete shopper’s paradise. Situated near Jama Masjid and Red Fort this market is an always bustling with energy and life. This place provided me an opportunity to explore some of the famous delicacies of India at the famous Paranthewali Gali. I also enjoyed a full meal of Kebabs at the most famous Kareem’s restaurant.
