by Mahieu about Malhotra Restaurant
Situated in Paharganj, a side street from the Main Bazaar, this is a very nice place with good food. Since Paharganj is a backpackers area, you’ll find mainly tourists here, but nevertheless the quality of the food is ok. You can go for Indian, Chinese, and even cheese macaroni or mashed potatoes, in case you’re homesick. As a sidedish I really liked the garlic nan.

Diwan-I-Am - The Hall of Public Audience
by DaDrifter
Diwan-I-Am is a large decorated pavilion that was used by the Mughal Emperor as a hall for giving public audience. It is also believed that celebrations on the innaugration of the fort took place here. The hall is divided into 27 square bays, by columns which support the arches. The ceilings and columns were originally painted with gold.
In the middle of the hall lies an ornate throne-balcony, which used to be seperated from the courtiers by a gold plated railing. This highly decorated throne balcony is made of white marble, and is carved and inlayed with precious stones.
