Monuments everywhere
by Rupanworld
While someone is visiting New Delhi, he/she should keep an eye around as Delhi is full of monuments from its glorious past. One comes across monuments on way to other monuments, some just lying beside the roads, unvisited, unknown. If you are curious, you might go in and see. Many of my tips have resulted from things that I just passed on my way and did not plan to visit and only later I came to know as I searched for those images on internet. This is very interesting. Here are pictures of some such monuments that I am still to know names of but which I crossed while on my way to someplace else. Amazing!!!

by DaDrifter
The Quwwatul-Islam Masjid (Might of Islam Mosque) mosque stands to the north east of the Qutub Minar and was built by Qutbbudin Aibak in AD 1198.
It is the earliest extant mosque in India. The remains of the mosque consist of a large courtyard, enclosed by cloisters, erected with carved columns and architectural members of 27 Hindu and Jain temples.
