I am flying into Delhi at 8:30 pm and leaving at 1:15 the following afternoon. I have heard that sleeping in the Delhi airport is possible but not preferred. I can not afford the hotels RIGHT around the airport at over one hundred dollars a night. Does anyone have any suggestions on anyplace that is fairly cheap that is fairly close to the airport. I don't mind taking a short taxi ride to and from, but can't really afford that much for the room. I would also like to do a little sight seeing in the morning before my flight... Does anyone think that this is possible or have any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate the help!!!
Why not try the International Youth Hostel, It is clean and safe, and best of all CHEAP !!(Aprox Rs 650 for an A/C room). I have stayed there several times and found it to be great.Their website address is www.yhaindia.org. I'm not sure, but I think they can also arrange taxi's too. Anyway, have a good trip !

You can stay Hotel Shanti Palace (4*) or Hotel Westend Inn (3+). it is hardly 15 min drive from airport. It will come under your budget...smile & love

If you are coming tonight at 8.30pm then a quick update for you; The Indian Medical Association had called for a bandh(strike) on 25/05/2005 in protest of government's announcement of reservation policy. You must try to stay at hotels nearby Airport coz you wish take flight next day in the afternoon. I am sure tomorrow it will not be easy to travel on Delhi’s road.
