Hey,
I've also heard that Karol Bagh is good for shopping... but I can't answer your question. I hope you find out something useful! I will be staying in that area next month.

Dear Mitr,
Karolbagh is more famous for wedding suits then jeans, but yeah there are lots of company show rooms were u can get nice jeans. Karolbagh is not so big it will take min. 30 mins to see it.
If you are looking for cheaper and ok jeans to can go to Sarojani nagar Market, it is very famous for budget and higher budget class families. LOts of jeans and ladies staff. Famous in Delhi.
ANd if you are looking for big show rooms then u can go to South Extn Market u will find lots of big company branded showrooms.
Hope it will help u...love and smile..vivek

Hi. I think Vivek meant that the shops with names are a minor part of Karol Bagh market. These are mostly along Ajmal Khan Road, so you could start there, at the south end. There are several large clothes stores on this street but I can't recall any names, sorry. The main market where the really cheap stuff is (which I think Vivek was recommending) is Ghaffar Market. You enter it a little further north along Ajmal Khan Rd. Though clothes are not the main product in Ghaffar market. It's more gadgets like watches or electrical items.

Oh! Hi Vivek. Nice to see you online!
I agree. I would buy jeans from SouthEx or Lajpat Nagar. But if you have to go to Karol Bagh for something else, there are a couple of shops on Ajmal Khan Rd that would be worth checking out.
Travel Tips for New Delhi
Take care of your photography needs
by Waxbag about Delhi Photo Co.
Delhi Photo is one of the best photo shops I have come across anywhere, including the USA. I took my 35 mm slides here to get processed and scanned and they did excellent work. They use new chemicals and process by hand. The scans were good quality as well. They completed the service in one quarter of the time and at half the price than photoshops in the States. You can find film, batteries, and other extras here.
what superb italian
by buddyjee about Diva restaurant
warm and cosy, with a nice wine cellar, but more than anything esle, the food is as authentic as you would get in Italy.
The place has a die hard loyal following, and the owner seems to know what each guest likes to eat or drink- a must visit restaurant I love the rucola salad with gorgonzola and the pasta with crumbled sausage, it is full of flavours, perfectly cooked, and consistent
Parliament House -Sansad Bhavan
by mallyak
The Parliament of India (or Sansad) is the federal and supreme legislative body of India. It consists of two houses – the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. It is located in New Delhi at Sansad Marg. Any bill can become an act only after it is passed by both the houses of the Parliament and assented by the President. The Central Hall of the Parliament is used for combined sittings of the lower and upper houses and is of historical significance.
The Parliament House (Sansad Bhavan) is a circular building designed by the British architect Herbert Baker in 1912–13.
The roof of the outer circle of the structure is supported by 257 granite pillars. The Houses are located on Janpath, a stone's throw away from the presidential palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan).
Visit India Gate
by NEILHALLIDYA
This 42 metre high arch was built in 1931 as a memorial for the 90000 soldiers of the Indian army who died in the first world war.
Visually its an impressive monument and, in my opinion, is best viewed from Parliament House in the evening but its worth visiting at any time of the day.
You can expect the usual throng of hawks trying to sell you things but its surronded by pleasant fields, even though you are in the middle of New Delhi, and its easy to find somewhere quiet to sit down and rest. While I was there lots of locals where playing cricket in the fields surrounding the monument.
You dont have to pay anything to get in.
Cathedral church of the redemption
by Willettsworld
Located on Church Road, north of Jaipur Column, the Cathedral Church of the Redemption, stands to the west of Parliament House. Henry Medd, who won many architectural competitions, designed this simple yet attractive cathedral built between 1927 and 1935. The cathedral now belongs to the Church of North India.
