Hotel information desk at the airport
by georeiser
There is a hotel information desk at the airport, just in case you don't have a hotel... I came to DEL domestic airport at 9 PM, and they booked a hotel and taxi in New Delhi. And not too expensive eighter. Of course, they got their commission, but this was good for me since I was too tired to find a hotel by my self.

by ukirsari about Several fabric shops at CP
Hmmmm, wrapping myself with Pashmina for occasions or whenever feel cold is nice. So, try to find some around Connaught Place [CP]. There are several shops selling manykind of Pashmina with various prices. Kashmiri shawl and scarf with pasley patterns on it Around Rs 90 per shawl [and can be triple expensive in my own country :) no wonder!!!]
Authentic Thai Food
by txmsle about Ego Thai
Upscale restaurant with some Thai decorr. Great Thai Food. We had chicken curry, TomyamKung soup (spicy Prawn soup), LabKai (spicy minced chicken salad). Pad Thai was a little greasy. It's a bit expensive, but still reasonable than eating at 5* hotels. There was 5 of us (3 adult and 2 little guys). We had 5 appetizers, 3 main dishes, 2 soups, 1 soda, 1 alcohol drink, 4 desert. Total bill=$80.00

Red Fort
by BluBluBlu
This huge fort was built in 1648 for Shah Jahan. You enter via the Lahore Gate, through the Meena Bazaar, and into the grounds themselves. There are two huge halls...Diwan-iAm & Diwan-i-Khas which when they were originally built would have been a magnificent site as they were decorated with marble, jewels etc...and a silver lined ceiling! Most of it was looted by Nadil Shah who took the best off to Tehran...including the infamous 'Peacock Throne'.
Inscibed on the walls of the Diwan-i-Khas is a famous couplet...
'if there is a paradise on earth it is this, it is this, it is this'
This Fort is well worth half a day or more to look around.
