I've seen enough hotels to know that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in... Staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable and overall, the service is excellent. I stayed in a club room (floor 6) and it was lovely.
Taj Palace in Delhi has Taj club designed for the corporate. I had room service which was good, and arrived quickly. I also ate in the Masala Art restaurant which was fabulous, in fact the best meal of my trip, better than the meal at The Leela Palace Hotel. The hotel staff is very polite and friendly.
I would Highly recommend it to every1 out there who want to spend nice time staying in Delhi and specially to those visiting on business propose.
Unique Quality: The Taj Palace hotel has variety of restaurants to choose from. It has an amazing 24X7 Kafe Fontana offering dishes spanning from countries like Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, Morocco, Spain, France, Italy and more.... It also has Blue Ginger restaurant which is capital's contemporary Vietnamese restaurant, offers tantalizing Vietnamese cuisines. In whole.. Taj Place hotel is a perfect place for big foodies on business trip.

Taj Palace hotel New Delhi, great hotel with luxurius facilities. I recommended for its services. I visited this hotel during my last trip for New Delhi India. The cusine, room facilities and servces are very good. Eight of us visited New Delhi and stayed at this hotel for two nights in Dec. 2007. We stayed at their club level with a lounge. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The breakfast in the lounge was buffet style and good. My daughter wanted something that was not on the buffet and she got it. The waitress was extremely nice and efficient. I will stay there again.
Unique Quality: The rooms were very clean. The bathroom was very clean and had clear glass partition which can be turned into an opaque non-transparent partition by a flick of a switch.

Our stay at the Taj was wonderful. Perhaps it is because of the contrast to where we were staying before we arrived there. Comparatively, the Taj was a wonderful place that was comfortable and clean. I do think the prices are high though. Our room was spacious and clean and we were greeted warmly by staff. I know that tipping is a frequent practice so thankfully I was well prepared for this and just realized it came with the territory. We loved dining in the restaurants and felt the food and service was really excellent. We only stayed two nights but thought it was really a good experience and better than we had expected.

When on business travel, my needs are so basic and simple when it comes to hotels - a single large bed and a magnifying mirror for shaving. Unfortunately, this hotel does not have the latter! OK, they did provide one but not after transfering me to two rooms (apparently the duty manager never checked whether the second room had any before waking me up at an ungodly 6:30 in the morning and asking to pack up my stuff!)! How inconvenient!
Treated more like a peon (no offence meant here) rather than a king (or at least a prince)!
Unique Quality: Their ability to pique and vex guests is world class and earns a 7-star rating. And this does not come cheap at more than US$150 per night.

Unique Quality: THE BEST service, the BIGGEST pool around, and food that is so good, you will want to eat at the hotel.

the newly renovated club level is simply to die for. as a frequent traveler, I was bowled over by the level of service at check in and check out and the renovation of a business friendly, yet fun and comfortable room on the club level. Only issue we ran into was the fact we arrived a bit late for breakfast and the staff there was not at all pleased....that was a bummer for the price we were paying, special dining area or not. other than that HIGHLY recommend.
Stayed for one night on Feb 25th, 2007. Based on comments in Frommers, which did not place this hotel into their recommended list of 5-star hotels in Delhi, was prepared for a so-so experience. Instead was pleasantly surprised to find the level of service and the facilities at the hotel to be truly first class. Given the choice, would probably still rather stay at the Oberoi, but this hotel is not far behind.
