Hi I have not actually stayed at this hotel, but we did pass by, and I popped in to hvae a look. Its in a handy location, only about 1 km from Connought place, and very close to New Delhi Station.Prahaghanj can be a bit hectic, though. It is very popular area for young & backpackers. - lots of street shops etc.And noisy. But actual hotel looks fine.

If you get there and either don’t like it or it is full you good also try “The Smyle Inn” also in the PaharGanj
I stayed there 3 times on my trip to India last year and found it a great base in Delhi.
Details on my India accommodation tips.
Good Luck

Travel Tips for New Delhi

Sunblock is a must

by ukirsari

Backpack with rucksack and one-day pack since sunny New Delhi is unbearable on summer, you need many many cotton t-shirt. light trousers and sarung [can be used like umbrella whenever going to archeological parks :) and of course sunblock and mosquito repellent. absolutely toilet papers! and personal medicines additional recharged battery for digicam.

auto-rickshaw plus pollution air ;)

by ukirsari

Using bajaj [in my lingo] or auto-rickshaw [locals in Delhi said so] is cool. Open air with a canopy, so we can see every corner of the city easily. But the contra is >> also bring pollution air inside our lungs. So I never leave my bandana [small handkerchief never enough!] wherever I go with auto-rickshaw.

Baha'i House of Worship

by FruitLover

Dedicated to the oneness of God, humanity and religion, the Bahaa'i House of Worship is latest of seven such temples around the world (Bahai shrine & the spiritual center are the greatest attraction of Haifa, my birthplace). Each will become a center for social, scientific, educational and humanitarian services living up to its title of "Dawning place of the remembrance of God".

The Lotus flower represents purity. Although often seen in dirty and stagnant water, it symbolizes that every human spirit is born pure, and like the Lotus, can rise above the dirt of conflict, of prejudice and differences that surrounds us, thereby achieving its true station as intended by God.

Personal, biased opinion: the temple in Haifa is more impressive...

Open 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (winter); 9:00 AM - 7:00PM (summer).
Monday closed.

Quatab Temple Complex

by Luchonda

The gallery in this Quatab Complex.
It reminds me on Egypt - is not that old and the restauration of many buildings becomes a problem in India.
Believe me - India is a rich country - but the money is in the hands of only a few - private or industrial.
And it is a pitty those people do not spent the money to restore and upgrade their fantastic monuments - witness of a rich culture..
This is a general problem in India !!

National museum - Life Style Gallery

by FruitLover

Tribal Life Style in the North-East is intimately connected with the environment. The very ecology of the region is pivotal in shaping the material culture and socioeconomical pursuits. Agriculture, fishing, hunting, herding etc. are still the hub of all the activities supported by simple technologies.

Craft practices are ageold but astonishingly useful in harnessing the limited raw materials provided by the nature.
