Standard A/C Room for Rs.1,600/- ; Deluxe A/C for Rs.1,800/- ; Suite for Rs.2,000/-. Standard room does not have a separate sitting room but does have 2 chairs and centre table. Deluxe room has a small sitting room apart from bedroom while the suite also has a bath tub and fridge apart from separate sitting room with an extra TV. There are no taxes. Efficient service. Chilled water kept in the jug in the room. Basic toiletries like shampoos, soaps, coconut oil, shower caps, talcum powder, comb, sewing kit. Quick check-in and check-out.
The suite was not ready when I reached so they opened a standard room so that I could use the toilet till they could get the suite ready - took them 30 minutes.
Mosquitoes are living in bulk though a "good knight" was functioing in the room.
Restaurant was crowded at breakfast but I got the table the moment I walked in and service as fast. Food was idly, vada, pongal, dosa ...
11 car parkings in front and another 10-12 car parkings in the back ... but parking is overflowing at all times. Luckily, I had my own driver who managed a nice parking slot. He was provided sleeping space in the security room and bath and toilet facilities which is shared by staff ... all free and with no charge to me.
Unique Quality: Though not in the action part of the town but not far away.

Unique Quality: When compared to all the new hotels, Hotel Surguru is one of the oldest and most preferred by the Pondicherrians'. Usually when we want to book for our friends & relatives, first we check here and then we move to the next hotels. The restaurant is famous for its veg. food, most of us visit here atleast once a month.
