Eco Hotel ?
Unique Quality: Located outside Pondicherry on the ECR road (Chennai - Pondy) near the Toll road. Total area of 30 acres or 12 hectares, consists of 26 houses and 14 rooms. Located on the cost, in which 700 m of the beach front. They have nature cooled houses/rooms (without aircon) whcih ranges from Rs.3,300 to 11,000; A/C cooled ones are from Rs.6,500 to 14,500/-. They have a Gourmet restaurant & a seafood beach restaurant.

Beach Resort
I live in Cuddalore, which is 22kms from Pondicherry. My wife and myself were looking for a beach resort nearby Pondicherry for a weekend getaway. After googling for awhile, we decided on The Dune
Its a thematic beach resort, situated 9kms from Pondicherry on the ECR (East Coast Road), towards Chennai. We had the driving directions downloaded from their website, which was useful in finding the place.
We stayed in Sambu House for one night.
Good things first:
People were friendly and attentive to the details. Room service was good. My 4 month old son needed a crib. We wanted lunch before their kitchen opened. All our requests were accommodated with a smile. Their menu card has so many offbeat varieties. All their organic varieties were excellent. My wife loved them all. Swimming pool facing the ocean was a nice place to spend our time. Complimentary breakfast was very good. It had continental as well as Indian varieties.
What needs improvement:
When shower opened, water enters the room. Housekeeping took care of cleaning. Still bathroom flooring needs fixing. Also layout of this room doesnt give total privacy in nights. We could hear people talking in the adjacent room.
