Anoi Itam Resort: Sunrise worshippers
One of the most notably accommodation within Air Itam area. There's three types of room: deluxe, family and penthouse. You can enjoy a great sunrise from the porch and gazebo by the beach whenever the sky is cloudless.
It's provided with swimming pool, spotlessly clean rooms, airy veranda and dining room and well kept garden. It's not so far from tourist spots Gua Jepang or Japanese underground shelter during WWII and the Anoi Itam beach.

Freddy's Santai: perched on the hill
For those who like sunrise beach, this is one of your dearly option. The bungalows are perched on the hill, surrounded by lush greenery coconut trees and some stepping down, here you are, Andaman Sea just right in front of you.
Bungalows made from local materials and we can hear the splashing water and feel the breeze from the porch. It's not hectic place as well and love to read whilst laying lazily at the hammock.

Teupin Sirkui: Iboih accommodation
The beach belonging to Iboih village is usually referred to as Iboih, but the name Teupin Layeu is more correct. It's just a couple of 100 m down to the shore from the main road. Here are a few warung's serving Indonesian food, motorbike and boat rentals, and a souvenir shop.
At the northern end of Teupin Layeu is a gate leading to Teupin Sirkui, a string of budget bungalows and restaurants built along a cliff. These can only be reached on foot by a path with several flights of stairs. The accommodation is best suitable for backpacker-style guests. If you bring a lot of luggage you may need to pay someone to carry it to your place; or check in at the only accommodation near the Teupin Layeu parking, named Fina bungalows (Rp 150,000 with indoor bathroom and balcony) and reachable by a flight of stairs uphill.
An overview of Teupin Sirkui facilities you can find at the website below. At peak season you better book in advance, at other times we suggest you shop around before deciding where to stay. Bring a torchlight! After nightfall it is hard to find your way around without one.
On Friday mornings and on muslim holidays services at Teupin Layeu are interrupted. Also on December 26 we could not hire a boat before noon: most villagers attended the tsunami commemoration in Iboih mosque. At such times you may want to go to Yulia's, farthest from the Teupin Sirkui gate. They have a nice terrace from where to plunge into the sea. Being out of sight nobody here bothers if one wears a bikini during prayer time.

Sabang Guest House: Homely in Sabang
If you want to stay in Sabang town, Sabang Guest House is a good choice. Centrally located in a former colonial house. On walking distance both from the shopping street Jalan Perdagangan and from the northern beach, Pantai Kasih, with evening fish restaurant.
Room prices range from Rp 250,000 to Rp 350,000, all with AC and bathroom. We had no 01 for Rp 325,000; well furnished only the bathroom was rather bare. Indonesian breakfast included. We stayed just one night and that was enough to check out the town.
Free Wifi, free unlimited coffee and tea service. Homely atmosphere, garden with birds and rabbits.

Peune Edenn resort: An island almost to yourself
The only accommodation on Rubiah Island.
This is the choice of rooms:
The 'original' bungalow (double, i.e. two rooms under one roof) behind the resto, external bathing, Rp 75,000 per room.
Two larger bungalows (double, in need of maintenance) 150 m south of the resto, external bathing, Rp 100,000 per room.
Pak Yahya's new bungalow (double) 50 m north of the resto, with own bathroom, Rp 100,000 per room.
The blue bungalow with indoor bathroom at 75 m south of the resto, Rp 250,000.
The 'Rumah Mlinjo' with indoor bathroom, most isolated at 300 m north of the resto, Rp 250,000.
We occupied the blue bungalow for three days, during which we were able to thoroughly explore the island as well as snorkel as much as we liked.
'Resort' may seem too ambitious a name for the modest facilities. But there are bungalows and a restaurant, so why not?
This is the place to really get away from it all. Leave your laptop and iphone at home, there is only electricity from a generator between 6 and 10 pm, just time to recharge your camera battery. During weekends domestic tourists come snorkeling at the beach facing the restaurant, but apart from that you share the island with the caretakers - Pak Yahya and Bu Amansari - and their family only. Perhaps also with some long-staying guests; we met a French couple 'going native' here for several months every year.
For food and drink one has to rely on Bu Amansari's restaurant: basic menu with modest prices. Bring everything else you may need, including snorkeling gear and reading matter.

Lumba-Lumba Living: Comfortable Acccommodation
It is comfortable accommodation on Pulau Weh. All seven (duplex) cottages are now ready for use, offering 11 units to rent out. The "diver-friendly" rooms are very spaciously set up, with a living area, good springbeds (Single and King size beds available), a good wall fan, a nice clean bathroom with western toilet, shower AND indonesian style mandi (convenient for testing camera housings ;-) and a small pantry with a water kettle, a fridge, cups, plates & cutlery and rinsing basin, a wooden veranda with sliding doors, facing the sea/beach.
There are plenty of electricity sockets to charge all torches, camera's, flashes, laptops, mobile phones, iPODs, and other gadgets.

Green House Erick at Iboih: Low budget bungalow
I stayed only 1 night in the bungalow. It was rather basic but nevertheless okay. Once you arrive in Iboih (about 45 minutes by car from Sabang port), go up the hill about 5 minutes walk.
The bungalow has less than 10 rooms, and each cost me only Rp. 70,000 per night. The one I got has shared toilet. My room consists of 1 single bed, mosquito net, fan, mirror and that's about it. Of course, you don't need to have excellent room as the idea is to spend most of the time outside.
