Pondok Tirta: lovely little place, few mins from beach and very
I love this place.
It is set in a lovely peaceful area just a few mins walk to the beach. Kadek and her husband take really good care of you.
There are just 2 bungalows one slighter bigger then the other. They are kept spotlessly clean and in a lovely little garden. The rooms have a very comfortable bed, kitchen (with fridge, water cooler, sink and 2 gas hobs) and a very clean bathroom with shower (hot water available by request by the bucket). Breakfast is included with the price and normally consists of a choice of omelette, eggs, toast, pancake or a local breakfast such as nasi goreng, also comes with fruit and fruit juice/coffee/tea.
Laundry service is available and cold drinks are available at shop prices.
Perfect place to relax or why not provide some arak and invite a few of the locals round for a party :)
Unique Quality: great views, few min from beach, very relaxing. lovely owners

Eka Purnama Cottage: Best Snorkelling spot
Well..., This place is just amazing. 4 Bungalows with cold shower and double bed with amazing views from each balcony just make this place such a choice!
The price for double cost 200,000 including breakfast and tax. The sunrise will wake you up every morning and make you ready for a warm-up snorkel before breakfast. Why? Just walk down the steps right in front of the cottages where the japanase ship wreck is.
Beautiful Snorkeling!!

Prema Liong Art Bungalows: Terrific SunriseViews From PrivateBungalowTerrace
I would highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a great value and authentic Balinese place to stay.
I stayed there for several times already since 2003 with my parents (!), friends and my girlfriend.
The 4 bungalows are situated on a hill (Tsunami safe!) but not far from the beach (1 min walk). Up to 5 people can sleep in one two-storey bungalow (Up to three in the king size bed downstairs plus 2 in the bed on the gallery which has terrific views as far as Lombok!) so the value for money is unbeatable! Even the couches outside on the private terrace can be used as a bed as big mosquitoe-nets are provided.
The bathroom is 50% open air (concerning the roof, not the walls of course!) with waterfall-like shower coming out of a rock. If you shower at night you can watch the moon! Amazing!
The service is exceptionally friendly and fast because of the excentric bell system which you can use to call the staff to your bungalow. They even deliver breakfast and meals directly to your bungalow!
The food is simple Balinese but very delicious (try pepes ikan or black rice pudding!). Of course, you can have travellers food as well including cold beer, etc...
The hotel has easy access to the public beach with its fine corals (snorkelling is great there!)
Unique Quality: The views of the sunrise and the moonrise from the bungalows terrace are the most beautiful I've ever seen! Every bungalow has it's own private terrace with beautiful couches made of bamboo (the managers husband made it from local material) which provide a perfect set for relaxing and watching the sea. The couches are big enough to sleep on it even at night (big mosquito-nets are provided) which makes it a very romantic place to stay especially for families with children, couples (they have a Honeymoon Bungalow with the best views!) and groups (up to 5 can sleep inside on 2 storeys in beautifully arranged bamboo beds!
The (only 4) bungalows are made in the local way (two-storey lumbung) with local material (almost only wood, the roof is thatched with alang-alang grass) around a beautiful garden full of hibicus, bougainvilea and palm trees.
The staff is consisting only of exceptionally freindly local people who come from fisher families. The are working hard but still remain very balinese in the way they are just hospitable and not "eating money" like many of them do in the Kuta region. If you ask, they will even take you with them when they go fishing in the morning/afternoon with their jukung-boats or show you the track to the pretty much undiscovered hills of the Seraya montains just behind Prema Liong.

3 Brothers Cottages: Best value for money cottages in Amed
Absolutely gorgeous cottages with no shortage of the intricate Balinese designs that make the islands architecture so famous. It's not 5 star accomodation, don't expect marble floors and a huge makeup table. Look forward to something genuine and comfortable like their bamboo framed beds and ventlated tatched roofs, but most of all - the outdoor bathroom! Some rooms by the beach front also have a little moat that runs around the cottages, and a tiny bridge to boot! Simply fantastic!
While the cottage itself does not have dive/snorkel and other recreational activities/equipment to rent/book, they have affiliations with several sport operators thoughout the area, which isn't big and most if not all places can be reached after a stroll or a split second motorbike ride. I guess going short on facilities lets them give u a better price for the rooms.
They offer local or western breakfast for those who need their morning bread and butter, but also has a mean kitchen if you place your orders a day in advance.
There are only a few cottages in this accomodation so there will be no crowds. There is a cafe just opposite and a tourist information centre up the left of the cottages, and a fancy restaurant and decent internet connection right next door! So it's a pretty good place to be. Think laid back, no up-tight, chichiness!
Unique Quality: Every cottage has a sea view and a porch for sun worshipping - at no extra charge.

The main villa: Great View
The main villa can be rented and used by one family or group of friends. It has 3 bedrooms with ensuite baths.
This picture is the stairway leading up to the top floor. There is one bedroom on the bottom floor and two seperate bedrooms upstairs.
We had the bedroom that had a bacony from where you could see for miles out over the ocean. We could see Lombok from there.
Unique Quality: It just doesn't get any better than this.

Blue Heaven: Just right
The inside of the villas are much larger than they look on the outside.
They have the good sized bedroom plus a sitting room with a small couth that could be used for an extra bed. They also have a dressing area with plenty of closet space and a little fridge with beer, sodas, and bottled water. Then there is the nice size bathroom with sink and toliet. The open air shower is in an area all its own.
