Located on Sanur Beach, this resort is set amidst 36 acres of lush, mature, beautifully landscaped gardens and tranquil lagoons with a 500 metre long white sandy beach.
Bali Hyatt is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed. Already the lobby is amazing.
Unique Quality: Rooms are very spacious and give you all the comfort you may need. There are two pools and of course the beach. The best is probably the pool bar where you can stay for quite some time and enjoy some beer. Within walking distance you have a number of shops, bars and restaurants.
If not for its lush gardens, Bali Hyatt would have become just another hotel in Sanur. It's a pretty old hotel with rooms that need a face lift soon. Perhaps they should pay a bit more attention to the rooms rather focus so much on their award-winning gardens.
Room is average, a bit overpriced for such a small room. Furniture is old and fittings are quite worn out. Not a place you want to spend a lot of time in when there is more to offer or experience outside.
There is better value in other places, so unless you only want to stay at 5-star hotels, you're better off somewhere else.
Unique Quality: - Nice pools but not a lot of shade
- Beautiful spa, very pricey
- Cosy italian restaurant with great food. Service here is much better than the other hotel staff
Quote:"With its distinctive architecture and lush tropical gardens abounding with exotic foliage and secluded lily ponds, Bali Hyatt is a resort hotel that is well loved for its timeless appeal, blending into the serene village life of Sanur. Guests can enjoy a wide range of resort hotel facilities or relax on the resort's beach or by the pool."
There isn`t much to add, besides, that there are 2 Bali-Hyatts: THIS one is on Sanur, the other one - the "Grand Hyatt" on Nusa Dua, much bigger and less individual!
Unique Quality: Bali Hyatt offers a superb "Regency Club" for all guests taking "Regency Rooms"; it is worth the extra money, as one gets free American Breakfast, Five o Clock drinks and plenty of Snacks from 5-7 pm !
The beach is good, but the pools in Balinese style, situated in a tropical garden, are superior !
An open-air grill and a more elegant restaurant as well as a very nice beach-restaurant with Italian food cater for the hungry. Besides, there are countless small restaurants along the main road.
Another advantage is, that Bali Hyatt is much nearer to the cultural places like Ubud and somewhat distant to the crowds of Kuta.
Prices are negotiable, there are always deals!
Directions: The distance from the airport to the Bali Hyatt is approximately 15 kilometres and it takes about 20 minutes by car or (hotl-)bus

We wanted to stay in a place that we would be able to get accustomed to the environment prior to venturing out. The Bali Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua was amazing. Talk about plush greenery, excellent staff and the royal treatment. We wanted to explore all of Bali and we were able to take a few day trips from here. We left for a few days but eventually ended up here to finish our trip with some more pampering!
Unique Quality: Go for the Grand package. It's worth it!!!
Bali Hyatt is just about 20 minutes away from the airport and has a wonderful surrounding. There are more than 600 rooms with oceans, gardens view etc...a truly luxury place to stay in.
Alam Suite room with two private Gardens and a mini private swiming pool.
There are a lot of greenary surrounding and you can Nude for sun tan.
Unique Quality: Next to the Kuta Beach Area and you can even go for marine activities any time you like.
Directions: From Kuta Center, headed to the north or walking distance.
The Hyatt is a lovely hotel. The hoel is spread out and makes extensive use of wood. There are many mini pools all over and it has an amazing flower garden. It is on the beachfront and has its own private part of the beach for hotel guests. The restaurants in the hotel also serve good food.
Unique Quality: The flower garden and the way they light the place up at night - very subtly.
Directions: Hop into a taxi and they will know where to take you
We stayed for two full weeks in the Bali Hyatt hotel in Sanur, which is superb and is said to have the most beautiful garden of Bali. So if you are prepared to spend some extra money on a once in a lifetime honeymoon experience, go to the Bali Hyatt (5 stars).
For a complete picture overview of the hotel, see my travelogues.
The staff were extremely friendly and always helpful.
Unique Quality: Apart from the rooms, everything is in the open air (pavillions). The rooms are great and have either seaview or gardenview. Ours looked on one of the nice blooming inner courtyards.
The great breakfast buffet could be enjoyed in either one of the pavillions or really outside in one of the gardens by the side of a nice pond.
The pool (with towel service) is simply great. Completely designed in Balinese style. So great, that we hardly spend time on the private beach, which lies only a few metres away from the poolarea.
The poolarea is surrounded by a large area with grass and palmtrees. Very relaxing.
The other side of the hotel is surrounded by what is said to be the most beautiful garden of Bali.
Finally, the hotel has everything you might expect from this type of hotel. Several restaurants, pianobar, kids club, etc..
I used to go there everyday to enjoy theri cocktails just sitting and enjoying the green that sourrands you. If you think hyatt in America.........Well in Bali you should think again.
Unique Quality: The outside was just incredible. Settings, and again...the green......sourrinding you

when i was there, i saw that hotel and thought that once in my life i'll go there.... time is coming but i am afraid that bali is not as before....
what can you recommand me?
thanks in advance
Hi The Bali Hyatt Hotel is very nice but if you can fork up a few more dollars I would suggest that you book at the Grand Hyatt Bali in Nusa Dua. They have great facilities that you and the kids would enjoy. The area is pretty close to the airport, there's shopping around the area and a short drive to jimbara bay where you can watch the sunset and have dinner by the beach.
All I can say is: Great choice!!! We went there a few years ago for our Honeymoon and we had an absolutely great time. We stayed there based on lodging and breakfast (best breakfast buffet ever). We had dinner outside of the hotel in some of the nice and cheap closeby restaurants.
I think kids will love the pool. One thing to bear in mind. The beach is really nice, but due to a reef just of the coast, you will not have spectacular waves. We spend most of the time in the pool area (large area with grass and palmtrees) rather than on the beach.
Check my hotel description on my Bali pages and the pictures of the hotel I added in my Bali travelogues.
