Villa Agung Beach Inn: Black Sand and Beach Front
On the black sands of north Bali stands the Villa Agung Beach Inn . A great little beach front hotel situated between Singaraja and Lovina at Tukadmungga. The hotel has a very small pool in a court yard. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a choice of air conditioned and fan cooled. We had a family room with a queen bed and a set of bunks. There is a small fridge stocked with a few goodies and tea and coffee making facilities. There is no phone or tv, and the bathroom is outside with no roof.
Gus and Sandy are the owners , I only met Gus what a great guy. He take the extra time to welcome you to the hotel personally.
There is internet but you need to connect your pc via a internet cable.
Breakfast is included from a fixed menu and cooked fresh and tastes great. We had dinner in the restaurant as well which was great with a great selection of local food and a great view of the ocean. It was great to sit on the edge of the black sand and enjoy a Bintang or two while watching the sunset.

The Adika Sari Bungalows: In the heart of Legian
The hotel is on Jalan Padma Utara Legian. It's a small hotel with very friendly staff. Room 76 a suite room was large, clean and comfortable . There is a small fridge which you can stock with your own drinks. Air conditioned and a small TV with plenty of cupboard space. There is a table and chairs to relax on and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is spacious , but came with a funky smell, but with a spray of air freshener it was all good.
There is a table and chairs in front of the room where you can relax with a drink and not far away is the pool.
Breakfast is included in the price, but it is a set menu and cooked fresh.

The Sari Beach Inn: Beach front Charm
The lane to the Sari Beach Inn Legian from Jalan Padma Utara is a walk and a half at a few hundred meters, and very dark at night.
Reception is at the end of the long lane way with hotel rooms along each side of the property. The restaurant and pool are towards the rear of the hotel. The pool is small and there is a few pool lounge chairs.Staff are very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in deluxe room 117. The room is clean and tidy, it is air conditioned with a mini bar with no stock so you can stock it full of your own drinks. There is a TV and a DVD player a queen bed. An extra single bed was added to the room for us. There is a cupboard with a room safe in it. The bathroom is clean and tidy, but the hand basin taps are on the yucky side. There is no phone in the room. Free wifi is offered at either reception or in the restaurant. breakfast is includes and quite nice.
The Sari Beach Inn a great hotel if you want a quiet beach front hotel and the price isn't to bad either.
Photos of the hotel - http://travel.webshots.com/album/581971295OODHvA
The hotel itself is beautiful with a rustic old world Balinese charm and its meticulously manicured gardens. It backs onto Legian Beach over a rustic wall you can hear the waves crashing onto the beach and smell the salty air.

Westin Nusa Dua: Bali Westin Nusa Dua
This 5 star hotel is not worth the price! We had stayed in august for 6 nights. The price a night is €230,-, but the room is small. You cannot cancel anymore, while it is standard to cancel your reservation within 24 hours. It is not a professional hotel, less quality for the price they ask. Don't stay at this hotel.

Villa Purnama: An off-the-beaten accomodation
We ended up at Villa Purnama due to our luck as we actually booked a room in Dana Guesthouse, located nearby and owned by the same person, Ron. But then, the kind Putu shifted us to the Villa taking into account that we had our baby with us, and that too without extra charges.
We found our week long stay most memorable and comfortable and that too within our modest budget.
Villa Purnama is a basic property located a bit away from the touristy Kuta (15 minutes drive) but situated in a very friendly and peaceful neighbourhood, Kerobokan, and surrounded by paddy crops. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor along with a lounge, which is fitted with a big LCD, and a small kitchen. There was only one bedroom on the first floor with a big lounge, without furniture, a balcony and a shared bathroom. Bedrooms on the ground floor have attached bathrooms while all the rooms are fitted with the AC. The owner was thinking to built some more room on the first floor utilizing the empty lounge space.
It is also possible to rent the whole villa.
They offer free use of auto transmission motorbike, which is a deal maker if you can ride one, as no one else can be this generous. Breakfast, free interbet/wifi, and free airport (for a stay of more than 2/3 nights) make Villa Purnama/ Dana Guesthouse unbeatable.
They have a new model car also, which is available on reasonable prices (USD 40 for the whole day, i.e. ~ 8 hours, inclusive of driver and petrol)
Staff was really friendly and helpful, especially Putu. Though he may try to sell water sports and other packages but will never mind if you find another cheaper option.
However, the place may not suit those who are looking for a splurge or want to live around noise and crazy partying, called Kuta in Bali!

Bali Mystique: Just OK
This hotel is in Seminyak and is ok for the cost. I was a bit irritated since they didn't have our reservation listed, we made it the day before. When they went to take us to the room it wasn't cleaned and ants were all over the place. The room was dark and just ugly, nasty. This room was $30 usd
I went to the front desk and asked for the upgraded room and thank goodness I did! These were much nicer, tiled floor, TV, Cable, comfortable bed. This room was way better but still left a bit to desire. The bathroom smelled like sewage and the sheets looked dirty, they may have just had some stains on them. So I really woudl NOT recommend this hotel. This room was $65 usd.
The have a pool that is ok, the veranda is nice, the AC works well and I felt secure there traveling on my own.

Balivillini: Mini Villas in Seminyak
These mini villas are in the perfect location, right off of Dhyana Pura. It's a short walk to the beach, Anantara, La Plancha and many other bars/restaurants. My single villa had a mini refrigerator, burner, filtered water, kitchen utensils, a ceiling fan in the livingroom/dining room area, a floor fan in the bedroom, a telephone, a TV, a VCR and a semi-outdoor shower. There is a central pool shared by all 3 of the villini.
The Italian and American owners add to the charm.

Zen resort Bali: My new second home or heaven on earth
I took a 2 week Ayurvedic package at Zen resort. My intention was to get away from it all, do some thinking, and really unwind to start the new year. I achieved all this plus brighter eyes, better skin, 5 kilo weight loss, healthier inside and out, renewed energy and a yoga convert!
Every aspect of zen is conducive to a peaceful and relaxed stay. The location is stunning and views must be seen to be believed.
I enjoyed very much the yoga and the infinity pool.
The food was exceptional, better than expected with staff accommodating virtually any breakfast choice, and 3 course meals for lunch and dinner (a vegetarian, chicken and seafood option most days).
Rooms were simple but inviting and cleaned to a high standard. Daily flowers were a lovely touch. I even arrived back to my room a couple of times to find my bath had been run filled with flowers and surrounded by candles. Who could ask for more.
All the staff were exceptional, remembering personal details and no request to small or large to fill.
The treatments were each and every one of them amazing and I can't believe I no longer have a daily massage!

Segara Village: The modern stay in Sanur
There's some type of accommodation and we stayed at Segara Club which is very nice and modern style living. The staffs're very nice. Very wide area of the place and quite relaxing with the green area, a few swimming pools, they are all nice. You can relax by the poolside or front beach. Although there's a restaurant in the resort but there's also many other restaurants nearby provide a seaview. There's walkway by sidebeach where you can walk from end to end of long Sanur Beach.

Puri Santrian: Right on Sanur Beach
Nice place in Sanur area. Plenty of restaurants at street near the entrance of the resort, very lively day and night. There're 2 swimming pool and the pool bar. The restaurant in the resort is very nice, great food and good view of the sea. The room is rather small, and small balcony but the service is great, friendly staffs.

Santika: best hotel in Kuta
I had great time when stayed a Santika Hotel. It's on beach side, only a couple of kilometer from airport, has 2 pools, in walking distance for shops and restaurants but not in the center of crowd, and the rate is meet your budget.
I hope this will help you.
2 swimming pools, hotels or bungalow, nice ambiance, in the beach side, good for family holiday, splendid breakfast...

Padma Resort Bali at Legian: Perfect Location
We stayed at Padma Resort Bali at Legian for seven nights. We really enjoyed our stay at Padma. The two pools were fantastic especially the lagoon pool. The deluxe chalet room was big in size with seventy channels LCD flat TV, king size bed, mini bar and in room broadband internet. The balcony had beautiful view of the Balinese garden. The bathroom provided with hair dryer, towels, tooth brush, soaps, shampoo and conditioner. Most of the items replaced daily and clean the room daily.
The serviced were excellent. The staffs were helpful, friendly and polite all understood English. The buffet breakfast was excellent value, combination of Western, Japanese and Indonesian. Every night a jazz band played in Taman Ayun café. At the Sunset Bar you can watch the sunset and listen to rock or reggae band, the genre changes. There’s also gym but we didn’t go to there.
Every Friday night there’s a culture night and I think every Thursday there’s a cooking class on Indonesian cooking. We didn’t go to any of the two. You can also have dinner at few of the restaurants located at the hotel, Tenkai Japanese restaurant and we ate at Bella Rosa Italian restaurant.
The hotel had beautiful Balinese garden surrounded with Frangipani trees, palms, clumping bamboos, flamboyant flowers and well decorated plants. Walkways and steps lead to pond fill with colorful carp and outdoor living areas with thatched pergolas. Pathways leading to the temple combine with groundcovers. Also you’ll see godly stone statues, lanterns and wall panels. It was quite relaxing walking and admiring the garden. Actually we can spend your entirely holiday at the resort but we didn’t.
Two excellent pools and pools for the little one, as a matter of fact there are facilities for the kids to amused themselves. Internet and reading room. Honestly the resort it has lots of things to amused you.
The location of the resort is ideal very close to shops, restaurants, supermarket and it’s a beachfront resort.
We paid through our agent $1,575AUD for seven nights including buffet breakfast. I thought it was reasonable and we will stay here again.
The Balinese garden was just beautiful and well maintained. The facilities is excellent especially the two pools. The ground staff were friendly especially the staff at the Taman Ayun cafe, although the receptionist (front desk staff) could have been little bit more friendly.

Ramada Resort Benoa: Relaxing in Tanjung Benoa
Althrough the Ramada is not well located as its far from other hotels and shopping or area of many restaurants but we were so relaxing stay there. They have excellent 2 pools and very very pleasant staff. The beach front of the hotel is not good for swimming but we enjoyed most of the time in the pool. There is a nice Thai restaurant named "TAO". Very enjoyable having lunch and dinner there, nice pool view and sea view. We stayed in the villa which is very nice and huge with living room, bed room, terrace, big bathroom and the shower is outside that we can see the sky while having shower. The room service is very good and they make the room twice a day. As all the area is very nice garden in Bali style, walking in the area was so relaxing.
