Villa Agung Beach Inn: Black Sand and Beach Front

by screamin

On the black sands of north Bali stands the Villa Agung Beach Inn . A great little beach front hotel situated between Singaraja and Lovina at Tukadmungga. The hotel has a very small pool in a court yard. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a choice of air conditioned and fan cooled. We had a family room with a queen bed and a set of bunks. There is a small fridge stocked with a few goodies and tea and coffee making facilities. There is no phone or tv, and the bathroom is outside with no roof.
Gus and Sandy are the owners , I only met Gus what a great guy. He take the extra time to welcome you to the hotel personally.
There is internet but you need to connect your pc via a internet cable.
Breakfast is included from a fixed menu and cooked fresh and tastes great. We had dinner in the restaurant as well which was great with a great selection of local food and a great view of the ocean. It was great to sit on the edge of the black sand and enjoy a Bintang or two while watching the sunset.

The Adika Sari Bungalows: In the heart of Legian

by screamin

The hotel is on Jalan Padma Utara Legian. It's a small hotel with very friendly staff. Room 76 a suite room was large, clean and comfortable . There is a small fridge which you can stock with your own drinks. Air conditioned and a small TV with plenty of cupboard space. There is a table and chairs to relax on and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is spacious , but came with a funky smell, but with a spray of air freshener it was all good.
There is a table and chairs in front of the room where you can relax with a drink and not far away is the pool.
Breakfast is included in the price, but it is a set menu and cooked fresh.

Cheap accommodation in the heart of Legian. With free wifi in the restaurant and hotel.

The Sari Beach Inn: Beach front Charm

by screamin

The lane to the Sari Beach Inn Legian from Jalan Padma Utara is a walk and a half at a few hundred meters, and very dark at night.
Reception is at the end of the long lane way with hotel rooms along each side of the property. The restaurant and pool are towards the rear of the hotel. The pool is small and there is a few pool lounge chairs.Staff are very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in deluxe room 117. The room is clean and tidy, it is air conditioned with a mini bar with no stock so you can stock it full of your own drinks. There is a TV and a DVD player a queen bed. An extra single bed was added to the room for us. There is a cupboard with a room safe in it. The bathroom is clean and tidy, but the hand basin taps are on the yucky side. There is no phone in the room. Free wifi is offered at either reception or in the restaurant. breakfast is includes and quite nice.
The Sari Beach Inn a great hotel if you want a quiet beach front hotel and the price isn't to bad either.

Photos of the hotel - http://travel.webshots.com/album/581971295OODHvA

The hotel itself is beautiful with a rustic old world Balinese charm and its meticulously manicured gardens. It backs onto Legian Beach over a rustic wall you can hear the waves crashing onto the beach and smell the salty air.

Westin Nusa Dua: Bali Westin Nusa Dua

by Boris2010

This 5 star hotel is not worth the price! We had stayed in august for 6 nights. The price a night is €230,-, but the room is small. You cannot cancel anymore, while it is standard to cancel your reservation within 24 hours. It is not a professional hotel, less quality for the price they ask. Don't stay at this hotel.

The Flora Kuta Bali Hotel: The Flora Kuta Bali

by endipiran

the flora kuta bali strategically located in a prime location in kuta. from the hotel it is 5 minutes walk to kuta beach and kuta square. 7 minute walk to waterboom park and discovery shopping mall and 5 minutes drive to the air port

facilities including room service, free wifi hotspot, loby swimming pool , restaurant

Villa Purnama: An off-the-beaten accomodation

by Mozumbus

We ended up at Villa Purnama due to our luck as we actually booked a room in Dana Guesthouse, located nearby and owned by the same person, Ron. But then, the kind Putu shifted us to the Villa taking into account that we had our baby with us, and that too without extra charges.

We found our week long stay most memorable and comfortable and that too within our modest budget.

Villa Purnama is a basic property located a bit away from the touristy Kuta (15 minutes drive) but situated in a very friendly and peaceful neighbourhood, Kerobokan, and surrounded by paddy crops. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor along with a lounge, which is fitted with a big LCD, and a small kitchen. There was only one bedroom on the first floor with a big lounge, without furniture, a balcony and a shared bathroom. Bedrooms on the ground floor have attached bathrooms while all the rooms are fitted with the AC. The owner was thinking to built some more room on the first floor utilizing the empty lounge space.

It is also possible to rent the whole villa.

They offer free use of auto transmission motorbike, which is a deal maker if you can ride one, as no one else can be this generous. Breakfast, free interbet/wifi, and free airport (for a stay of more than 2/3 nights) make Villa Purnama/ Dana Guesthouse unbeatable.

They have a new model car also, which is available on reasonable prices (USD 40 for the whole day, i.e. ~ 8 hours, inclusive of driver and petrol)

Staff was really friendly and helpful, especially Putu. Though he may try to sell water sports and other packages but will never mind if you find another cheaper option.

However, the place may not suit those who are looking for a splurge or want to live around noise and crazy partying, called Kuta in Bali!

Bali Mystique: Just OK

by livinmydreams

This hotel is in Seminyak and is ok for the cost. I was a bit irritated since they didn't have our reservation listed, we made it the day before. When they went to take us to the room it wasn't cleaned and ants were all over the place. The room was dark and just ugly, nasty. This room was $30 usd

I went to the front desk and asked for the upgraded room and thank goodness I did! These were much nicer, tiled floor, TV, Cable, comfortable bed. This room was way better but still left a bit to desire. The bathroom smelled like sewage and the sheets looked dirty, they may have just had some stains on them. So I really woudl NOT recommend this hotel. This room was $65 usd.

The have a pool that is ok, the veranda is nice, the AC works well and I felt secure there traveling on my own.

Balivillini: Mini Villas in Seminyak

by SFHulaGIrl

These mini villas are in the perfect location, right off of Dhyana Pura. It's a short walk to the beach, Anantara, La Plancha and many other bars/restaurants. My single villa had a mini refrigerator, burner, filtered water, kitchen utensils, a ceiling fan in the livingroom/dining room area, a floor fan in the bedroom, a telephone, a TV, a VCR and a semi-outdoor shower. There is a central pool shared by all 3 of the villini.

The Italian and American owners add to the charm.
