Quaint, Convenient, and not far from the bustle
I was in this hotel for a week... it was a time-share week... i was told that i was very lucky t have got the booking as this place is always booked... and at the end of the week i knew why... it primarily caters to the Royal Holidays/RCI clientele but you can make pvt bookings as well. Its a small qauint hotel. It has 8 large sized apartments. the location is off the Jimbaran beach (10 mins walking), and about 20 mins from Kuta, and 20 mins away from Denpasar airport. It is on the southern side of the island. Nusa Dua is about 20 mins away. So u see its a very convenient location. The hotel staff are the most courteous i have come across my travels thru europe and asia. They always have a smile and they treat you like family... the service is brilliant. and once i even got the chef to cook me fish the way i wanted to... tho it was not listed on the menu... i was travelling with my 4 yr old son... and the staff took to him like their own... his diet was catered to, special dishes were cooked at no extra charge, they baby-sat him, when we wanted time on our own... in short it was a beautiful experience at this hotel. would i recommend it? yes of course, but then you will need to confirm your booking :) the hotel has a decent pool, an outdoor restaurant and bar. the staff organize any tours and sight-seeings that you want to do... and their drivers/tour-guides speak good english and are very friendly.... i guest its just the Balinese phenomenon... i met an australian couple who come to bali every year for the past 22 years... and over the past 6 times they have stayed here!! the service is brilliant. the staff are wonderful. the rooms are huge. each unit consists of a bedroom with an attached bath (sunken bath-tub included), a drawing room with a small dining area and kitchen. this room has the tv and the extra sofa cum bed. then every unit has a sit down patio area with a sofa and tables... its great to sit out in the evenings with the smell of jasmine and the sound of crickets... its a convenient location... not too far off from the hustle bustle of kuta or nusa dua... the week long stay cost me around $250... but i guess this price will vary depending on what time share you have and the country you are booking it from... also this resort belonged to my "home resort" company... the royal group (aust). also individual or pvt bookings will cost much more... the hotel is done up beautifully and local material has been used... so a lot of stone and wood and the place always smelled sweet and aromatic... every morning there were flowers and prayer offerings outside our room on the small offering structure...
