The hotel is great. The restaurant is good. The pool is very nice. The beach is non existant. Do not go to Candidasa if you are wanting an official beach. (The coral was mined and the beaches washed away.) The hotel has a large sandy area that has all the amenities for sun bathing but you can't get to the water. You look out over the water and the waves crash against wall but that is as close as you can get.
The online rate was $85USD. The regular rate is 30% more. The massages are incredible. An hour massage is about 20USD.

We stayed a week and could have stayed longer. The Hotel is great, the grounds are constantly being taken care of. The pool is beautiful. The staff is the best we have encounterecd in Bali. (This was our second time in Bali). The food was excellent, and the SPA was great. The town of Candidasa is a little quite, but it definitely is worth a trip - and the hotel has a shuttle to take you back and forth. Just an overall great hotel, and the prices are more than reasonable. Pool is great, the food was excellent and the staff was outstanding.
Small town, great restaurant

What kind of restaurant is Vincents - everything, great food, local, American, whatever you want. and great drinks. The first concern is where is Vincents, well its in a small town called Candidasa. Candidasa is on the east side of Bali. Good for snorkling. How we ended up there, not really sure, but we had an opportunity to stay at the Rama Candidasa for a very reasonable price so we went in 2007. Ate at Vincents, and by the way, they will come to your hotel and pick you up. The restaurant is more open than closed, a nice garden setting, and some couches to sit and drink around the bar. The staff is excellent, the menu is large enough to offer something for everyone and the prices are unbelieveable. We went there in 2007 and returned this year in 2008. They rearranged some furniture, made the garden area a little bigger and just overall made some beautiful changes. They also have a happy hour. Catch of the day and the steak. Both have been excellent.
