Ride the waves
Kuta has many challenging breaks for surfers. Even on a hot, hot noon, you will see lots of surfers at Kuta Beach. Lots of surfboards are for rental at the beach. If you wish, you can get your own in the shops in Jalan Legian. You do not need to bring your surfboards or surf gears. You can rent/hire them at the beach or from the nearby shops. There are also many shops selling surf gear and boards at Jalan Legian.
You can imagine hows the ambience, environment i have that afternoon. Relax and comfort, with a cozy couch in a cafe close to the beach. Sure, it is not for those who looks for crowded and to be seen place -- though it is open wide. Just any warm pastry and a cup of coffee. Oh, they have ice capucino too.

Once upon a time in Kuta
"More than just summer"
Everyday is SUNday here. Too bad, after Bali bombing's tragedy, Kuta seems more quiet when i visit here on July 03. Well now it starting get back to normal, a friend of mine, Dudi, told me so. If you ever visit Kuta, you will wonder that i said the picture shown is Kuta. Normally, Kuta is very 'hip' beach. Always FULL people laying on the white sand beaches, enjoying the sun. Well later it will get better soon. I believe, and yet supporting.
