Does anyone know anything abt this hotel in Kuta. I heard that it is a new hotel, but not sure if it is good. Is it located at a very convenient spot? Is it easy to get around from there?

Appreciate any info i can get

The All Sesons Resort is a re-development of the Bali Dwira Hotel opened in July 2005
It is located in Legian, which although now blends in with Kuta is actually a little quieter than Kuta itself. The hotel is near the markets and close to shops resaurants and to Legian Beach (a few minutes walk) It is a budget hotel, so therefore the rooms although functional (all with air-conditioning) are basic. All ground floor rooms have access to the swimming pool there is a cocktail bar, and a spa offering traditional massage services.
All in all it is one of the more modern hotels that Bali is having to develop due to modern demands forgood hotels with clean and basic facilities.

It's easy to get around to anywhere in Bali, grab a taxi, ask the hotel fortransport (a bit more expensive) walk,

Have a great holiday

Travel Tips for Kuta

ogoh-ogoh: huge monster doll

by aalayaa

during nyepi day (the day of silence) when usually there's nothing you can do except staying inside without light, people avoid to be in bali.
but the night before nyepi, ogoh-ogoh festival is held. ogoh-ogoh is a huge monster doll represent the bad spirit that after nyepi day will be burned. each village create their own ogoh-ogoh. during the festival, all the ogoh-ogoh are displayed and everyone who visit it can vote for the best and the scariest ogoh-ogoh.
the place for ogoh-ogoh display is usually on a view point on the island but the best one usually in kuta area, especially on jalan legian.

by aalayaa about puravida

if you're into unique colorful etnic clothes, puravida is the place.
the shop is on your way to the beach, and it has green wall so it's so easy to recognize, you won't miss it.
they also sell their stuff in mall bali discovery clothes, accessories, bags

wandering around the shops

it's nice to walking around in pedestrian of kuta-legian-seminyak. not only for shopping but window shopping also cool. and ended with ... visit a warung [resto] or cafe. and discuss with our travel mate about "what's in and out of date" about fashion and accessories in kuta-legian-seminyak.

Kuta - Beautiful Beach with Exciting People

by myspices

"Where Blue meets Blue...."

Kuta, once a hot spot in Bali, is now lacking in its lustre. Eversince the bombings in Oct 2002, Kuta is still trying its best to revive its glory as one of the favourites in Bali. Today, most tourists prefer to stay in Nusa Dua or Sanur (Jimbaran being hit in 2005), where it is more exclusive and tighter security in hotels. Somehow, it is still a must to visit Kuta if you are in Bali.
Kuta has many tacky shops, best restaurants , exciting & coolest pubs and cafes, wide choice of accomodation - from the cheapest losmen to the higher end hotels and of course, a beautiful beach. You will either love Kuta for the excitement it eludes or dislike Kuta for being too commercialised and seedy.
I love Kuta for being "easy" and its laid back atmosphere. If you are there - you will find that same feeling too. The beach is the most favoured spot for all during the day and the evening. Many surfers will be enjoying the waves at Kuta beach. You can simply sit under some shady trees, watch people or just feel the breeze. During the night, the place to hang out would be the cool spots at pubs and cafes and if you like, a walk by Kuta beach

"You can surf, sun bathe, stroll or simply watch. ."

In Kuta, there are alot of shops for surfers - you can either buy or rent the surf boards. There are even lessons in surfing if you wish to learn. Kuta, formerly only a fishing village has now changed into an area of overdeveloped region.

"Great place to do your shopping"

Kuta is a great shopping haven for all - especially for the ladies. Main streets and alleys - all that you want, you are sure to find it - you name it, they have it. Enjoy bargaining with the vendors but make sure that if they agreed to sell you at the price you asked for - buy the goods or else you will see an angry person shouting at you even if you are miles away.
