Its a nice hotel with big room, Aircondition, and cozzy place with swimming pool..... located just infront of Ronta Hotel.
Its budget hotel with decent rooms and management. I stayed here when I was in Bali, and would recoment this place to anyone on a budget that wants a clean, affordable place with friendly staff, and so helpfull.
20 rooms in 2 blocks, 2 level each. Rooms are quiet ;arge, white tile floors, fan, own bathroom, small porch with 2 chairs.
Beside the hotel easy to find indonesian food with great taste and cheap, and also internet cafe just infront of the hotel, and mini market....
1 person 40,000Rp / night
2 person 60,000 / night
Negotiable 1 week
Nice enough place and pretty cheap, but the staff seems to have sticky fingers - some t-shirts went missing and when i checked out they insisted that I hadnt paid for the first night when i checked in, so double paid - check out the Pesona down the road - same price (6 dollars), hot water and a nicer room, although it doesnt have a swimming pool (beach is two minutes away)
about the room, it's simple and clean. the receptionist is easy to be found after midnight [i catch the last flight from jakarta and he's still awaiting!]. but in the other side, whenever i ask my swimming towel early morning, said as "not yet available" [can be understood, they think there's no one will going to swim before 06.00 am :)]. another case, i don't put the card 'tidy up my room' since i want to do it by my own after back from daytrip to ubud, but they did it properly before i back to the hotel. it's nice surprise!
traditional roof [alang-alang] of the hotel, simple and clean bedroom with nice swimming pool nearby front office. I like to have swim early morning and in the evening. and there’s a big screen next to the swimming pool where the guests can enjoy several movie and tv programmes. when I was there, watching british football league on tv; arsenal vs chelsea with other guests in front of swimming pool :)
there are 2 poppies at kuta area. one is the old poppies that can be reached by a very small alley from legian to kuta named old poppies and the other is poppies cottages at poppies lane I. established 1973, no wonder these hidden ‘treasure’ in kuta already famous worldwide.
the most I like from the concept of these places are; privacy, very private, less hectic since hidden in the garden, and the wall of the bungalows made from red cement bricks painted white. plus nice garden with canopy of flowers and foliages. make it very romantic and relaxing. very enjoyable.
there are many kind of accommodation scattered along poppies lane I kuta. from budget, mid-range into luxurious. just choose by your own. but my choice goes to the place which have nice swimming pool, comfy and relaxing. no need a huge cement bricks with many storey. only 1 level is enough, as long as chill-out :-)
here several list of the hotels and hostels that looks nice with well kept garden and has swimming pool.
- kuta puri bungalows
- la wallon bungalows
- masa inn
- agung putra [ap] inn
- fat yogi’s
- poppies cottages
not so far from the beach and has nice views and swimming pool.
The first time I came to Bali, I stayed here at Hotel Kuta Jaya. This was a lovely place to stay because it was located at Kuta's Beach Road and close to the shopping malls & nightspots. The room that I stayed in actually part of a cottage in the middle of a huge Balinese garden. The room was spacious and had an "outdoor bathroom" (actually, part of the ceiling is exposed). The pool was also huge and a great place to swim & have a traditonal massage. The beach is only a stone's throw away where you can surf, jog and catch one of Asia's best sunset in the afternoon. Unfortunately I was informed that the hotel has been demolished to make way for a new shopping complex. What a shame because it was such a beautiful place
I love the Balinese gardens that surround the cottages. When you walk outside your room, it feels like you're at home
Stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights. Location wise is very strategic. It's in Bakung Sari street, located in the alley. You can't see the Hotel from the street. They had a sign in front of the Alley. It's a small minimalist modern Hotel with very nice swimming pool.
The breakfast/restaurant area is located in front of the Hotel. All rooms have balcony with pool view. The Hotel has 2 storey, ask for the room on the first level so you can jump straight to the pool.
The Room is minimalist but has ncessary things (was staying in the standard room). Separate toilet and shower.
There is small parking area inside the alley, but most of the time we just parked in the street as it was safe.
The Hotel published rate was Rp 350,000 nett but you can get better deal buying voucher from Panorama Travel Agent. They have a spa, when we were there they have a promo 1 hour massage for couple for 110,000 nett - Such a bargain!
The Swimming Pool
Strategic location - 5 minutes walk to Kuta Square and 8 minutes to the Beach
There are many beach resorts along Kuta and Legian Beach so do choose wisely. If you want a more quite spot, the resorts at Legian Beach will be better. Anyway, the beach of Kuta and Legian is linked so there is no problems in accessing the beach, which is for the public.
tired of staying in those hotel-like rooms? if you're in bali you shouldn't miss experience living in villa. usually it's only has a few rooms so you don't have to share the swimming pool etc with too many people.
most of villas in bali design with tradisional balinese house style with thach roof and each room are separated in pavilions.
- a villa, not hotel with rooms in a row
- balinese style design
- more a century old javanese traditional rumah joglo in part of the building
- a unique shape swimming pool
- tropical garden
- walking distance to petitenget beach
- open shower in the garden
the sister of another hotel harris by the beach. this one is closer to the airport but still the beach is in walking distance. recommended if you're in tight budget and love the kind of hotel that really care about design.
the rooms are relatively small but designed with simple colorful way (mostly green and orange). they even give you oranges in your room, so the fruit will match with the color of the room.
it's new so it's still fresh. the hotel is also affordable compare to others.
it has swimming pool and breakfast is included. if you bring your car, they have valet service for free.
The Jayakarta Hotel is a nice beach resort hotel located along Legian Beach slightly north of Kuta Beach. This hotel is quite nice to stay and it has lots of rooms and even apartments. The surrounding architecture is also very nice and traditional and the swimming pool is nice as well. Overall, I had a good stay here. Photos of my apartment room are at the "general tips" section of this VT page.
The hotel has bungalows and rooms scattered aroun a enormous and pleasant garden.
Rooms are huge, quiet and well furnished.
There is a big and nice pool next to the restaurant.
Prices start about 20$ double room (breakfast included)
a cute colorful hotel by the famous kuta beach.
not expensive for beach from hotel, but it has no room with view to the beach.
the swimming pool is unique and overflow.
your minibar is empty when you just check in. you can fill it by buying at the shop in the hotel with price that make sense
a not expensive, modern, clean and walking distance to the beach and shopping area.
great lap overflow swimming pool.
the hotel can't be seen from the road. a narrow entrance lead to the hotel.
choose the room on the ground floor but the swimming pool. avoid the room upstair.
