Kuta: MERCURE HOTEL

Mercure Kuta Bali is one of Accor Hotels located in Kuta Bali , the most popular tourist destination in Bali. It is one of the hotel in Kuta owns the swimming pool that is located on the top of hotel building roof. It is just a view minutes to access the biggest shopping center in Bali, international restaurants, night clubs, good shops and beautiful beach with the white sand along the coastal. The Mercure Kuta Hotel, located next to the Hard Rock Hotel has a boutique look to it with earthy colours and extensive use of thatch roof, but has a cosmopolitan feel to it. The pool and deck area is found on the roof of the lobby and is amazingly designed ? again with thatched roof bales, a sunken bar and infinity edged pool which gives the impression of being a part of the vast Indian Ocean. Rooms are fresh in appearance and design and are luxuriously appointed. The difference between standard and superior rooms is the view, and for a few dollars more, Ifd recommend the superior rooms where you can sit out on your balcony at any time during the day and enjoy the sea breeze and ocean view.
Less than a minute from Kuta Beach

This hotel's great location will make up for whatever you think is lacking. It is just across a small street from the famous Kuta Beach.
This area turns into a wild party haven in the night. There's a party mood in the air. However, there are lots of patrol cars and police officers around, in the wake of the bombings. Because it's near to the party scene and the road, you will hear some noise, especially with the music and the Harleys that like to go vrooming down the streets.
Hotels along this stretch are near the main shopping strips. The main shopping mall, Matahari, is also within walking distance. There are also 24-hour convenience stores and a McDonald's nearby.
----- The hotel has a great rooftop pool, which looks as though its connected to the sea. However, its only opened from 7 am to 7 pm which is a bummer.
There's also an internet place and a sundry store on the ground level. Nothing fantastic but good to know that they are there :)
The price of a double is about SGD 110 per night for 2 persons. The price includes a pretty good buffet breakfast. Oh, I forgot to mention the room we had was really nice, but no great views (unless you want to pay more!). It looks very balinese and the decor was nice. The bathroom has a glass panel which lets you watch tv while showering. Cool!! :)

Stayed here for 4 night. The hotel building reflect the Bali architecture, in-fact the whole place remind you that you are in BALI. The long water pond in the middle of the hotel, all the furniture and detail is so Bali. The staff here is wonderfull! They were so helpfull and friendly eventhough we arrived almost midnight due to a flight delayed from jakarta. The room is very clean and the size is adequate. The bathroom (the most crucial part of accomodation for me) is very clean and it has this cute shape bath-tub. Slippers is provided and plus i love the bath-robe provided. I think it was Batik or some traditional fabrics of Bali. But it was definetly very comfortable and beautifull. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bali. the price is moderte, the location is great - right across kuta beach, next to hard rock cafe, around the crner to all the action in Kuta street. And eventhough it is in the middle of hustle and bustle of Kuta, once you step into the hotel are it is so peacefull - ultimate reflexing place. The Swimming pool here is SUPER GREAT. Overlooking Kuta Beach. A perfect place to sun-tanning or fall a sleep on the big coxy seat. We choose to swim, do some silly water games (like back when we were 8 years old). Then we had our temporary tattoo done by Yudi. He will not forced you to get it done, instead he patiancely wait for you to flip over the book and eventhough you said no in the end he will not be upset (i believe he is staff of the hotel). Well we had our done here as the price is negotiable and also reasonanle - it cost you aud 5 so...why not?. One night we bought some drinks and brought it up to the balcony which is located on the same floor as the swimming pool. there are a lot od spot through out this level that you can choose. but the point is they are all good - drinks, companion and ocean breeze. Perfect way to sealed up the day.
affordable comfort with a beautiful sunset view

upon entering the lobby, the word 'posh' comes to mind. The hotel staff are friendly but somehow they are more 'businesslike' unlike Kuta Seaview Cottage that I've previously stayed at. Service is good but the rooms are kind of small. If you're planning on adding an extra bed in the room...there wont be much space left to walk around. Overall...it was a great experience and convenient. Hard Rock hotel is right next to it and also Pizza hut! The greatest thing about this hotel is definately their rooftop pool with a view of the beach. In the evenings, you could just laze around the pool area sipping cocktails and mocktails and listen to the sound of the waves (literally1) while watching the sunset. At that moment... you wouldnt want to be anywhere else in the world except where you are then and there

Mercure for my family is great, this area is very strategy for one who like shopping, caused sometimes father and children can enjoy the sunset in the swimming pool and on the other round mother can do shopping. The art market in Kuta is really near with this hotel. then it is very easy to find foods for children. Next to Mercure is Hard Rock Cafe and in front of the hotel is Kuta beach. This place is crowded but so far we enjoy it.
